29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): Employer had not developed or implemented a written hazard communication program which at included the requirements outlined in 29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1)(i) and (e)(1)(ii): (a) On or about 01/17/2013, in the facility, for employees using hazardous chemicals such as but not limited to Easiway Systems 5 Stencil Remover containing sodium metaperiodate, WD-40 containing an organic flammable mixture, Zim-Pic Special, a flammable mixture and Spike Emsulsifier containing isopropanol for screen printing and performing embroidery on apparel. The employer did not develop and implement a written hazard communication program. A written hazard communication program also includes a list of hazardous chemicals present on site. Screen Gems, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard or its equivalent standard 1910.1200(e)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection #191762, Citation 1, Item 1a. This citation was issued March 28, 2012, became a final order on April 20, 2012 and had final abatement day of April 20, 2012. |
