THIS PROJECT WILL ACCOMPLISH THE FOLLOWING OBJECTIVES: - EXPAND HOURS OF OPERATION IN THE MUSEUM, PRESS ROOM, AND VISITOR CENTER DUE TO HAVING A FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE DEDICATED TO THIS WORK. - MAKE MODIFICATIONS TO THE PRESS ROOM AND MUSEUM TO ALLOW FOR SOCIAL DISTANCING AND IMPROVED SAFETY AND SANITATION. - CONTINUE COLLECTIONS MAINTENANCE AND EXHIBIT CURATION TO ENSURE THE SAFETY, PROPER ORGANIZATION, RELEVANCE, AND INTEREST OF THE CAMPUS? HISTORIC COLLECTION. - DIGITIZE PRIMARY SOURCE MATERIAL FROM THE COLLECTION FOR REMOTE PUBLIC RESEARCH.] [PURPOSE: THE GRANT TO THE ROYCROFT MUSEUM WILL BE USED TO RESUME THE MUSEUM ACTIVITIES. THE MUSEUM WILL WELCOME GUESTS TO ITS PRESS ROOM AND VISITOR CENTER AND CONTINUE ITS WORK RELATED TO ITS HISTORIC COLLECTION. THE GRANT WILL SUPPORT ONE JOB AND A PAY FOR A PORTION OF A SECOND POSITION. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: WITH AN AWAD, THE ROYCROFT MUSEUM WILL BE ABLE TO EXTEND OPERATING HOURS AT ITS PRESS ROOM WAND VISITOR CENTER. NEW LIGHTING AND NEW DISPLAY CASES WILL BE INSTALLED, AND NEW SAFETY INITIATIVES WILL ACCOMMODATE THE TOURS AND DEMONSTRATIONS.PRIMARY SOURCE MATERIAL FROM THE COLLECTION WILL BE DIGITIZED FOR REMOTE USE BY HUMANITIES SCHOLARS, SCHOOLTEACHERS, AND ANYONE WHO WOULD PREFER TO ACCESS COLLECTIONS IN LIEU OF THEIR VISITING IN PERSON. MUSEUM'S ON-LINE PRESENCE WILL BE UPDATED TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF ITS GROWING TRAFFIC IN THE POST-PANDEMIC ENVIRONMENT.  EXPECTED OUTCOMES: THE MOST IMPORTANT EXPECTED OUTCOME IS A SAFER AND MORE SANITARY ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH THE MUSEUM CAN CONTINUE ITS ACTIVITIES.
