The head covering interfered with the face-to-facepiece seal. The employee was exposed to an 8 hour TWA concentration of cobalt of 0.14 mg/m3. The cobalt permissible exposure limit (PEL) is 0.1 mg/m3. In addition, the employee was exposed to an 8 hour TWA concentration of nickel of 1.33 mg/m3. The nickel PEL is 1 mg/m3.
