I called Capital Accounts LLC on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and on XX/XX/XXXX. Also wrote them a letter on XX/XX/XXXX. I am trying to get an itemized bill from them for the service from XX/XX/XXXX ( which I was never billed for an medical expense ) They have not sent me the itemized bill and would not give me the address or phone number of the Company who the bill is thru. I called them on XX/XX/XXXX and they are no longer handling this debt and gave me another phone to call and I called this other phone number and no one has any record of me by SS #, DOB or name. I am trying to obtain the itemized bill to get my medical insurance company to pay the bill to a company that is no longer open and I am getting no where and this is on my credit report for {$1900.00}.

I called the collection companies and told them that I had not received any written debt notice. They said to contact the medical office. Then I contacted the medical office and they said to contact debt collection companies. They are not cooperative at all. Nobody knows what to say. The medical office says to contact the debt collection office and the debt collection company says to contact the medical office.

There are two parties involved : XXXX XXXX. XXXX in XXXX XXXX and their debt collection agency, Capital Accounts LLC.
XXXX XXXX. XXXX in XXXX XXXX repeatedly charged me for misleading amounts without letting me know. They would quote me I need to pay a certain amount, assuring me the rest would be paid by insurance. The insurance company never paid as much as expected. XXXX XXXX. XXXX 1. systematically underestimated the amount covered by insurance to trick consumers into buying procedures and 2. hid the debt from the consumer until it was too late. It is visible that they misrepresented the true cost of the procedure from the billing sheet - I always paid the amount expected on the day of, and then they either collected less from the insurance company or increased the price retroactively. A one-time mistake would be plausible, but it happened almost every time. I received no notification of these debts until recently, 3 years later, when Capital Accounts LLC showed up on my credit report.
Capital Accounts LLC is misrepresenting the amount owed. Even XXXX XXXX XXXXal shows that the debt is {$1200.00}, but Capital Accounts LLC fraudulently lists it at over {$1700.00}.

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX contacted me in early XX/XX/XXXX regarding a balance I owed of {$600.00}. I told them I would pay it. I made the payment through my HSA with XXXX XXXX, check # XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX for {$600.00} was paid to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have a copy of that check indicating they deposited it on XX/XX/XXXX. I received a collection notice from Capital Accounts dated XX/XX/XXXX indicating I owed {$600.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I mailed my response to Capital Accounts with a copy of the cancelled check. I then received notices that there was a new account on my XXXX and XXXX credit reports. Upon investigation I see the new account was the debt collector, Capital Accounts. I filed disputes with both XXXX and XXXX. I then received another bill from Capital Account dated XX/XX/XXXX stating I owed {$820.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. This amount is incorrect, as the original bill was {$600.00}, which was paid. I have not visited XXXX nor incurred any new charges to warrant the increased amount. I receive a response from XXXX dated XXXX/XXXX/XXXX stating verified as accurate even though I provided proof that I paid {$600.00} to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX.

I have made payments to Capital Accounts in the amount of XXXX ( receipts attached ) for a dental bill that XXXX XXXX XXXX has turned over to Capital Accounts. The original bill is XXXX. The original letter from Capital Accounts stated I owed XXXX with interest charged to the XXXX. After paying the XXXX a balance of XXXX remaining. Today I called Capital Accounts to offer them XXXX to close the account. The representative refused and also stated my balance is over XXXX. I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. The Representative stated that he was the supervisor and they do not settle accounts. Capital Accounts is charging an extreme amount in interest keeping me hostage to a debt already paid.
Originally XXXX XXXX was never owed this money, because they did not complete the work leaving me to seek another dentist ( XXXX XXXX ) completed the work ( both original bills are attached )

Y. And in XX/XX/XXXX I was going back and forth from XXXX to XXXX to family Court for my grandson all the way to XX/XX/XXXX. And after that I moved into my new apartment at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and I got my Section 8 approved at the same time in XX/XX/XXXX. And I been taking care of lower back severe pain. I have the paper 's anything you will need. And I did have the father XXXX XXXX XXXX d.o.b. # XX/XX/XXXX who lives in XXXX, Florida he stole from my florida food stamp card he was using it and I was not awhere of this until I moved back to XXXX XXXX XXXX In XX/XX/XXXX and I went to apply in New York food stamp office they said I was collecting in florida so I had to give them his information and I had to show them I had nothing to do with it did and I finally won my case and was able to start receiving my new benefits. Capital Accounts # XXXX. I was able to get XXXX to help me with this item they were able to take out of my Credit Report and then I tried to get XXXX credit report to help me and they were not able to help because Capital Accounts said it was mines and that was it!

I had an outstanding debt of {$330.00} for an XXXX visit that the office did not make me aware of. I only became aware of this balance when I was contacted by debt collection agency Capital Accounts. Their mailing address is listed as XXXX. XXXX XXXX, XXXX, TN XXXX. Their phone number is XXXX.
I was contacted by Capital Accounts in XX/XX/XXXX and this was the first time I was made aware of this outstanding debt. At that time I was offered a payment plan of {$40.00} a month to be paid on the XXXX of each month. I gave the Capital Accounts representative my credit card account information so they could automatically process the payment each month. Capital Accounts charged {$40.00} to my credit card on the XXXX of XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX for a total of {$240.00}.
After XXXX XXXX my outstanding balance was {$95.00} with Capital Accounts. On XXXX XXXX I requested that the payment plan be cancelled so I could pay on their website ( XXXX ), which would allow me to split the remaining amount into 3 payments. This would lower my monthly payment to {$31.00} for XXXX and XXXX, and {$31.00} in XXXX. The Capital Accounts representative agreed to this request and cancelled my {$40.00} a month payment plan for the XXXX of each month.
When I logged in to the Capital Accounts website on XXXX ( less than 30 days since my last payment ) to initiate the 3 payment installments on my {$95.00} balance I saw that the balance was increased and displayed as {$110.00}. I immediately contacted Capital Accounts about this and received many different reasons why this additional amount was added.
First I was told that my XXXX payment was processed on the XXXX and not the XXXX and was considered " late '' so interest had been added. I pointed out though that in XXXX my credit card had been on file and Capital Accounts had been processing the automatic payments so it was impossible for me to be " late ''. When the representative realized their reasoning was not well thought out they moved on to the next excuse why Capital Accounts charged me interest.
When the " late '' XXXX payment was proven to be impossible on my part then it was stated that since I cancelled my payment plan on XXXX XXXX and did not pay the remaining balance immediately that this is why the interest was charged. I indicated that my payment due date had been the XXXX of the month and that today 's date was only XXXX XXXX so again I am not late. The response I then received is that if a payment plan is not in place the debt accrues interest.
After speaking with a supervisor named XXXX XXXX I was able to get this interest charge removed. However, he told me that if I did not make a payment by the end of business on the next day, XXXX, that the interest would again begin to accrue. When I indicated I would like to set up the 3 installment payment for the remaining {$95.00} he told me that " if it were him he would just pay his bills and not try to get out of paying for as long as possible and not try to get out of interest being charged for as long as possible ''.
I am contacting The Consumer Finance Protection Bureau to make them aware that : 1. Capital Accounts is charging interest on debt where the original debt did NOT have an interest accrual agreement.
2. Even when individuals are paying off their debt every month and there is n't a 30 day lapse in time for non-payment Capital Accounts is charging interest.
3. Capital Accounts gave multiple reasons ( aka excuses ) why this interest was charged and continually changed the reasoning based on my response. This shows that this decision is n't related to any outlined policy and is just an attempt to fraudulently collect more than the debt itself.
4. Capital Accounts employs individuals at the supervisory level, like XXXX XXXX, who put down individuals who are paying off their debt timely every month in attempt to shame them into not taking an installment payment plan which is offered on Capital Account 's own website ( screenshot attached as proof of 3 installment payment plan ).

I was sent to collection for a vet bill. I never had the opportunity to resolve the debt as it was sent to the incorrect address. After noticing it on my credit report I contacted the debt collection agency for XXXX reasons. 1 is the amount is incorrect and 2 I had made a payment towards this bill. I have a copy of the original bill which was {$420.00}. I was put into collection for {$660.00}. I requested several times for a breakdown of this difference in the amount owed. I never received the breakdown. I was told to allow at least XXXX weeks to receive it as they have to receive it from the original creditor. I was also told if they do not receive it within 30 days the debt would legally have to be cancelled. I attempted to contact the debt collector again the last 2 days and they will not take my call. I am very upset over this as the amount being reported is wrong and my payment I made is not being reported as well. It has been well over 30 days. The original creditor is XXXX XXXX Hospital. I received a phone call at XXXX on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX from a debt collector ( Capital Accounts ) regarding a delinquent bill from my XXXX going back to XX/XX/XXXX. The original bill from the XXXX was {$400.00}. The debt collector told me that if I did not pay the bill immediately, he would charge me 16 % interest on the debt going back to XX/XX/XXXX. I was also told that if I did not pay the bill immediately, my credit score would be harmed. All of this seemed like a threat to pressure me into paying and I wanted to know if they could do what they claimed. I had received a bill from this debt collection agency on XX/XX/XXXX. I asked the man on the phone to hold while I look for the bill he had already sent me. At that point, he became irritated and told me he did not have the time to wait. I found the bill and began to question it. I determined that I would not get a clear response from the representative and terminated the phone call. I then called the number on the bill at XXXX and reached his supervisor. I asked the supervisor about the 16 % interest. He told me that I was already being charged the interest and that what his representative told me about the back charges of 16 % interest was incorrect. When I pressed him about the misleading nature of his representative 's claims, he responded to the effect that some " re-training '' might be necessary. I protested that it was unfair for them to mislead me. I can not recollect the precise exchange that followed, but I told the supervisor that I would look into this matter to see if they were allowed to mislead me. He asked for my email address, which I refused to give him. He asked that I confirm my address, which he did. I thanked him and terminated the call. Unfortunately, I do not have a record of the phone conversation, but the supervisor told me that they record all calls.

My agreed amout to the credit agency was {$140.00}. I initially set up a payment plan for three payments of {$47.00}. I was able to make the full payment via the doctors office before my first payment came out. this was a week ago. I assumed they closed my account. A week after a payment was deducted from my account in the amount of {$47.00}. When i called demanding a refund, they changed the tune and said i owed {$190.00} instead and that extra was " maybe fees, interest etc ''. the initial {$140.00} consist of the {$110.00} that i owed my doctor and {$26.00} in fees that they charged XXXX i dont understand why i was changed {$76.00} in fees! this is insane. they refuse to give me a refund and no one has a proper explanation on why i was charged an additional {$47.00}. everything is recorded and i just want someone to get the phone records to see that these people are lying and deceitful. I would appreciate my refund. they should not run a busienss if they are all being dishonest.

The collection Agency has failed multiple times to send me the requested documentation to verify the debt according to USC Section 809 of the FDCPA, USC Section 623 of the FCRA, and the Code of Federal Regulations 16 CFR Part 660. I have requested documentation to verify the debt in XXXX of 2020 and of XX/XX/2020 in which this company is now in violation. I did a final request in this month of XXXX 2020 requesting the items below : 1. Who was the original creditor on this account, and what was the account number?
2. What was the original amount owed? Please provide complete payment history, starting with the late charges, interest, date of payments received, date of payments posted, charges made and date of charges posted. Copies of all documents and financial instruments used to pay on this debt.
3. Please provide me documentation that indicates that I agreed to pay someone this sum of money.
4. What was the original date of delinquency for this account?
5. Agreement that grants you the authority in your local State and the State of North Carolina to collect on this alleged debt, and proof of acquisition by assignment or purchase.
6. If this debt was purchased a copy of the purchase contract from the original creditor.
7. What did you pay for this account, and how did you calculate the current amount owed?
8. Finally, please provide a detailed list of services performed that represent your alleged balance of {$300.00}.
Therefore, due to their lack of compliance of beyond 90-days without forwarding the properly requested information I'm requesting to have the item removed from my credit report or I will obtain an Attorney for legal action.

I was in an accident on or around XXXX of XXXX I was referred to pain doctor for rehab, I was XXXX diagnosed and told I needed XXXX, the XXXX was supposed to be covered my my car insurance, and the other persons car insurance and I had Medicade through the state I believe it was XXXX XXXX at that time. 1-2 years after the XXXX I start getting mail and phone calls that I owe this money, all of my bills should have been paid through insurance and lawyers claim. I am still being charged this amount for this medical bill, I have tried to get this resolved with the insurance companies and everyone is giving me a run around and pointing fingers with no hope to resolve. Please help me. I also later found out the place I was refers to go to for pin was shut down for fraud, for making false insurance claims and lying on injuries paitensts didnt have. XXXX office quoted and agreed to one price for services then charged another for services provided becuase " they did n't know '' that the health care insurance provider was n't going to cover all the cost. Refused to adjust pricing and send to collections without first contacting customer about " change '' in the cost of service or adjusting pricing to reflect what was agreed upon. Provider send debt to collections and now refuses to remove delinquency from credit beaureu agencies.
