Complaint What Happened Customer had XXXX fraudulent transactions in checking account in early XXXX, 2023. XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX dollars XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX dollars XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX dollars XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - XXXX dollars XXXX XXXX I noticed the fraudulent charges, froze my account. Got a new bank card. Originally was credited the money back to my account on XX/XX/XXXX. Money was taken back out of my account on XX/XX/2023. Key Bank said that I authorized these transactions, which I could not have as I have no account or have ever used XXXX XXXX. I was told that I had to contact XXXX XXXX to settle the dispute ( told by Key Bank ), but no information was sent electronically or through paper mail. Reached out to XXXX XXXX, filled out necessary paperwork, but was told I had to go back through Key Bank. I had called weekly until my dispute was sent to executive offices at end of XXXX. I have still not been provided any update as of XX/XX/XXXX, when I called them for the 4th time. Explaining that I have filed a compliant against Key Bank with CFPB for lack of information and refusing to return money to client.

Complaint What Happened I rarely complain but the ignorance of the KeyBank XXXX XXXX is beyond my comprehension. The restriction on my account- due to some fraudulent transactions - wasnt supposed to leave me without access to my money. Cant use my debit card. Cant use XXXX. I can not buy food. The KeyBank representative, who answered the phone after dozens of attempts, before hanging up on me, said the only way to lift the restriction is to wait for the investigation to be completed. I tried to explain to him that the KeyBank XXXX Department said they not true, that all you need is to call them, it can not be the only option to wait, I said it must be another option available for me to access my money faster.he hanged up on me. The KeyBank XXXX Department representatives, I talked to at least XXXX of them, say that it can be done in XXXX minutes. They added its completely unheard of that the branch is refusing to help. On the top of that, I use my phone for my work, as a XXXX XXXX. I have to put my phone in the Airplane mode in order to work. Today is the second day that I am using my phone calling for their assistance, instead of working. The situation Im in is very difficult. I can not access my money in my KeyBank checking account, and I am losing money for not working.

Complaint What Happened In XXXX of XXXX i noticed & immediately reported XXXX fraud charges on my debit card apparently made via XXXX as well as XXXX XXXX withdrawal also not from myself. Keybank then advised me to close the checking account entirely as someone clearly had full access to it, which i did. I then waited XXXX weeks for my money to be reimbursed to my account as i was told the fraud needed to be investigated. I eventually got the {$180.00} in paypal transactions as well as the {$50.00} XXXX XXXX refunded. Nearly 3 months later at the end of XX/XX/XXXX I saw the same XXXX transactions removed from my now new checking account. When i called to report this thinking it was fraud again Keybank told me they had redone their investigation & essentially decided i lied & took back my money they had reimbursed me. I immediately reopened this claim. Its now been over XXXX weeks & i have heard nothing from Keybank & nobody can give me answers when i ask.

Complaint What Happened In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The List of accounts below has violated my federally protected consumer rights to privacy and confidentiality under 15 USC 1681. I told XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX to reinvestigate these accounts : Account name : XXXX Account name : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Account name : XXXX XXXX Account name : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX However, they stated everything was complete and accurate. But how is that possible if the open date, date of last activity and much more is incorrect. According to 15 USC 1681i ( 5 ), they are supposed to modify accounts that aren't reporting correctly. 15 U.S.C. 1681s-2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. Also 42 USC 408 states that asking for anyone 's social security number on any loan is fraud and a violation of RICO for double dipping.

Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/XXXX, I wrote a company check # XXXX in the amount of {$3000.00} drawn on a commercial checking account to pay a vendor 's invoice and mailed it to the vendor 's accounts receivable address. The check was intercepted while in transit by an unknown/unrelated individual who endorsed ( with a signature ) and deposited into their personal checking account, clearing my bank on XX/XX/XXXX. After realizing the fraud, I contacted my bank who initiated an investigation. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, no resolution or progress has been made to rectify the bank 's blatant error.

Complaint What Happened I opened a checking account with Keybank on Friday XX/XX/XXXX. On Monday XX/XX/XXXX I initiated a transfer from an external account to deposit money into my Keybank account. I also set up the account for direct deposit. On Tuesday the XXXX the money arrived into the account. When I tried to log into online banking to access the account, I received a notice stating my account had been locked and to call Keybank. I called Keybank and they said I had to provide some identity documents. I offered to send them via email or upload them via a secure portal. They declined and said I had to go in person to a branch to provide these documents. The nearest branch is far from me and going in person will take at least two hours of my day. I asked the representative if I could withdraw the money from my account instead and he said I am not allowed to access my funds. As soon as I deposited money into my account, Keybank locked me out and will not let me access it. They are holding my money hostage and I want it back.
