Activity Description: | KACE World, LLC, is a boutique, full-service firm that provides legal, consulting, training and strategic planning services to government, businesses, and non-profit organizations. We help you to create systems that will support your organizational growth, improve employee effectiveness, and foster a diverse, inclusive, and high-performance culture. We help employers to mitigate potential legal liabilities which can arise from employee misconduct. We provide on-site workshops and retreats, coaching, and training on a variety of subjects including racial, gender, religious, sexual orientation, or other biases and forms of discrimination. Our customized training seminars and workshops provide flexible solutions tailored to organizational needs that will develop each employee to their highest potential and train managers and supervisors on strategies for achieving organizational goals in a manner that aligns with the needs and expectations of today’s workplace. Our professional services include, but are not limited to diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; EEOC, disciplinary and administrative hearing representation; federal and state employment litigation, leadership training; executive coaching; and sexual harassment and hostile workplace intervention and training. PROGRAMS DW Solutions - DEI Initiatives Our diversity, equity, and inclusion (“DEI”) services are provided through our DW Solution Programs which include workshops, executive coaching, strategic planning, human resource training, and implementation of recruitment and retention policies that will unlock the power of diversity for your organization or business. In today’s world, it is important to combat conscious and unconscious bias in the workforce by helping employees better understand how to interact with their peers from diverse cultures or backgrounds. Program participants will gain increased cultural competency that will improve their communication and team building skills to create a more effective and collaborative workplace. The average individual does not easily perceive their own innate biases and prejudices. They may fail to understand how seemingly innocuous statements can be perceived as culturally insensitive microaggressions, which undercut the collegiality of the workplace. Therefore, this important training will help employees understand the nuances of language and conduct in conveying conscious and unconscious biases, recognize the negative impact that these biases can have on others, and embrace strategies for sustainable behavioral change. Our training programs are comprehensive and interactive. They can be presented on various platforms including in person workshops, charrettes, webinars, and online classes that participants complete at their own pace. A charrette is a facilitated session which incorporates case studies and simulations to enable participants to recognize cultural factors which might impede the effectiveness of their work. The training sessions also employ team imagining, as a training technique. Our training Modules include but are not limited to: Understanding the Basics: Diversity & Inclusion in the Workplace; Microaggressions, Conscious and Unconscious Bias; Cultural Competency; DEI Recruitment and Retention Strategies; and EEOC & Affirmative Action policies that may your impact your business practices. EEOC, Employee Disciplinary & Administrative Hearings Our attorneys have successfully defended employers and conducted workplace investigations related to Equal Employment Opportunity Commission complaints, disciplinary hearings and NYC and NYS employment hearings for various administrative and government entities such as the City University of New York and the New York City Council. Our attorneys have significant state and federal employment litigation experience and are admitted in New York State and in the Southern and Eastern District Federal Courts. Sexual Harassment Training & Investigations Sexual harassment is unwelcome conduct of a sexual nature that limits or interferes with an individual’s ability to participate in or fulfill their employment responsibilities. Employers are increasingly being held legally responsible for the sexual misconduct of their employees. Therefore it is important that this potential liability be mitigated through adequate training of staff on acceptable and unacceptable conduct, particularly where the workforce is comprised of individuals from multiple generations, cultures, ethnicities, genders, and sexual orientations. Leadership Training/Executive Coaching Our consultants have over twenty years of experience in leadership training and executive coaching and hold certifications from the Academy of Management , International Coaching Federation, and the Public Relations Society of America. |
