During renovation project effecting the Lobby area of the first floor, employees had utilized a flexible extension cord drawing power from a hard wired, square metal "1900" junction box, and wired directly into the bare, exposed wires to energize the exhaust fan of the Newspaper Stand. NOTE: BECAUSE ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION IS ALREADY DOCUMENTED IN THE CASE FILE, THE EMPLOYER NEED NOT SUBMIT CERTIFICATION OR DOCUMENTATION OF ABATEMENT OF THIS VIOLATION AS NORMALLY REQUIRED BY 29 CFR 1903.19.
