Dear National Credit Management, account # XXXX This letter is a formal demand that you immediately cease and desist all communications with me in any form, including but not limited to reporting or updating any information to my credit reports. Reporting to credit bureaus is considered a form of communication under applicable laws, and I am invoking my rights to end all such contact.
Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ), 15 U.S.C. 1692c ( c ), I have the legal right to demand that you cease all communication with me regarding the alleged debt. This demand includes, but is not limited to, phone calls, letters, emails, or any electronic or physical means, as well as indirect communications through credit reporting.
Your continued reporting to credit bureaus constitutes an attempt to communicate regarding the alleged debt and violates my explicit request for no further contact. If you fail to comply with this request, I will have no choice but to pursue all available legal remedies, including filing complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ), Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ), and any applicable state agencies.
I also request that you confirm in writing within ten ( 10 ) business days that : You will cease and desist all communications with me, including credit reporting or updating existing credit entries.
You will not sell, transfer, or assign this alleged debt to any other entity for collection purposes or further reporting.
Failure to comply with this demand will leave me no choice but to escalate this matter further. Additionally, I reserve the right to seek damages for any violations of the FDCPA or other applicable laws.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Complaint What Happened |
To Whom it May Concern : I am writing you regarding a {$1300.00} collection fee attached to a tuition bill for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for my son _______. My son attended the Vocational Independence Program ( VIP ), a special education transition program for young people with XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. He attended XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX, when the program was discontinued by XXXX during the pandemic shut down.
The tuition for the program was being covered by a program of the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). At the end of each month the fiscal intermediary handling my son 's case, XXXX XXXX for XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), would receive an invoice and pay the monthly bill. The collection agency wants to enforce an unjustifiable exorbitant collection fee and slap my XXXX son with a bad credit rating.
I have a timeline of email contacts, and supporting documents, from the first contact I received from the bursar in XX/XX/XXXX, through this summer. I have been in constant contact with the collection agency and RCIL attempting to resolve if there was still money in the budget to cover the remaining balance, so that I would know if I needed to pay out of pocket and could settle this matter in a timely fashion.
In a typical collegiate situation, the bill is in the students name with the assumption that student is developmentally capable of understanding responsibility and perhaps even the finances as they are attending a degree program. However, it should be noted that this aforementioned program was not a typical college program. It was a program for young people with XXXX, to teach them the necessary skills to be able to live as independently as possible and be productive members of the community. After finally getting word from the fiscal intermediary that they did not have any more funds in his budget to cover the final balance, I did pay off the XXXX tuition remaining in two increments of {$2500.00} in XXXX. My intention was to get this request email to them then, but my son then became sick with XXXX, with my daughter becoming ill just on the heels of his recovery. Students who attend these programs dont have bank accounts or credit cards and are just learning how to handle basic financial transactions. Therefore, I think it is justifiably unfair for my son to be penalized with the bad credit rating. I am contesting the collection fee, as they are well aware of the situation and request it be dropped and my sons name remain clear.

Complaint What Happened |
On XX/XX/22, I sent a formal cease and desist letter to stop all communication from National Collection Systems , inc, which was delivered on XX/XX/22. Immediately after the receipt of this letter, National Collection Systems , inc. contacted me via email in an attempt to collect debt they allege I owe. This agency has repeatedly contacted me, asking for my social security number or mailing address and harassed me while at work. Their communication has interfered with my day to day life.

My credit was ruined out of nowhere from a bill that I never received or had any knowledge of. It was in collections on my report before I even knew the claim they made. If I knew that I was enrolled in classes I would have withdrawn because I didn't live in XXXX county. The school never sent me one bill or any mail making me aware of the fraudulent enrollment. They claim the bill is valid, but have no way to prove it was me that signed up. My kids could starve because times are hard and they stole my credit.

Complaint What Happened |
Hello, My name is XXXX XXXX and I am inquiring about a dispute that I recently put in in regards to a fee that I am being wrongly charged for. This fee is for {$940.00} and I refuse to pay this because I believe this is wrongly charged on my behalf. During the spring semester of 2020, I attended XXXX at XXXX for about 2-3 weeks at MOST ( nowhere near an entire semester or year ) where I experienced XXXX, lack of motivation, and an overall decline in my feeling of sense of belonging on campus. I simply wanted to change my major because I realized I was in the wrong Master 's program, XXXX, and I was given such a hard time from several staff and faculty whom I reached out to in regards to my situation. I had to retell my story over and over which made me relive a discouraging time and also lose motivation as time was ticking through the semester with little to no progress on my request.
Consequently, I decided to resign from my position as a student. When I inquired about the process of a leave of absence, I also received poor support and was not pointed in the direction of how to do this in a clear and concise way. After all of this, I realized that it would've been easier to just to pursue my career around what was and is my passion, working with youth to inspire them to be a better version of themselves than to wait after WEEKS had gone by with no progress on SWITCHING MY MAJOR. I was very frustrated with this because I have never " dropped out '' or quit on anything that I have started in my life, but I felt that it was the best decision for my mental health, career, family, and overall well-being.
Shortly after, all schools were closed for XXXX which we know was an extremely disheartening time for many, but this showed me again that school on the XXXX 's level maybe just wasn't for me at this time. To fast forward and see now, that this school is charging me for any sort of fees is outrageous to me. I can see the business side of things, however, this is so unethical in my opinion, for me to pay for a service that not only did I not use, but for most importantly, one that did not serve me or satisfy and cover areas that it claimed it would.
I am asking with the upmost respect and humility that this charge please be removed from all accounts related to my name. I have submitted two disputes and am now submitting this complaint to show how passionate and frustrated I am about this but also because I believe you all are able to help me with this. I do not want this to hinder or hurt my credit score or my ability to advance in my life, especially when I really did not benefit at all from any of these services.

National Credit Management has continued to contact me despite receiving a cease and desist letter from me and agreeing to stop communication after I filed complaint XXXX with the CFPB. NCM stated in their response on XX/XX/22 that this account was closed, but then verified the account through a dispute with XXXX as open and accurate on XX/XX/22. The collection agency is violating 12 CFR 1006.18 by engaging in deceptive practices by subjecting me to misleading representations of this debt.

Complaint What Happened |
I went to school from XXXX or XX/XX/2020 during Covid and because of the fact that I didnt want to major and I was in an XXXX XXXX I failed and the college told me all just drop out will go ahead and change your major and we did In XX/XX/2020 so yet again, I was still XXXX XXXX XXXX and then they My parents said they owed money because I was XXXX XXXX My dad had to sign documents saying I was XXXX XXXX and he was allowing me to go to school and I kept telling him I didnt want to go. I didnt want to go. I told him Many times even when we were there, I was like I told you I really dont want to do this, but he was scared because I was not supposed to be living with him and my Biological mom I do not refer to as my mom because shes not a mother figure threatened Him and said if he doesnt do it, shes gon na take him to court or what not because if I move there, I never got a deal one day when I got home from work pack all your stuff youre going to live with your dad are repeatedly told him thats not what I wanted to do. I wanted to go to school for XXXX because I love XXXX and thats what I wanted to do and now Im unfortunately unable to do a lot of things because of this and Im requesting that it be put on my parents because now its affecting my credit, and it switched over somebody else like my so-called biological parents now, when I called months ago, this guy was like were gon na reach out to your dad. Were gon na do what we can and were gon na see if we can switch it over because thats not fair to you how you were XXXX XXXX and you didnt even wan na go to college, blah, blah, blah blah blah when I called, the guy or the guy called me because I had called. I know I called him back though and hes like if I have any questions, Ill let you know if if you have any questions call me back and I was like OK sounds good months not hearing anything. Im looking on my credit and its affecting my credit so I call and today the ladies like it says you were over XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX when this happened I said no thats not true. I was like I was XXXX XXXX XXXX. Mind you when I repeated this again she said I never said that I said yes you did. I was like I literally just heard you say it says here you were XXXX you literally said that I said are you sure and she said yes and then when I repeated it again again, I dont know if she wasnt allowed to say that, but she literally said it in the call she said it. I was like I was XXXX XXXX XXXX when they told me had a balance and that I had to pay the balance by specific day because they didnt even tell me they told my dad that he had an outstanding balance not me Im XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was literally just started a bank account. I didnt pay for anything. He used his credit cards and or his card to pay for my schooling and I told him not to because hes wasting his money. I didnt wan na do that and he did not because he was that I we get them in trouble and that you took him to court, and he would get in trouble for having me so I was forced to go to college when I never wanted to and its now affecting my life as of today so I wanted it switched out or did my name taken off his den and put it in my dads or my biological mom because thats not fair I was XXXX XXXX and I never used any cards to pay for the schooling And now I have a collections bill in my name it honestly honestly doesnt even make any sense because I was XXXX XXXX that should never been put in my name I just want this out of my name this collections bill off of my plate because its not fair to me because I was XXXX XXXX and I never wanted to go on the first place
