29 CFR 1926.452(w)(2):Scaffold casters and wheels shall be locked with positive wheel and/or wheel and swivel locks, or equivalent means, to prevent movement of the scaffold while the scaffold is used in a stationary manner. a) On or about 05/13/2022, at the former "Bar 145" undergoing renovations, located at 71 Celebration Drive - College Town in Rochester, New York, the employer did not enforce the use of wheel locks when employees were performing drywall work. The employer allowed employees to use mobile scaffolds in a stationary manner without locking the wheels. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED |
