On or about 4/6/2022, full shift noise monitoring was conducted for the operators operating extruder 2. The operator for extruder 2 was exposed to 90.6 decibels (dBA) based on an eight hour time weighted average (8-hr TWA) for the sampling period of 381 minutes. A zero increment was included for the 99 minutes not sampled. The employer did not institute a hearing conservation program. b) Nortek Powder Coatings, LLC, 5900 Success Drive, Rome, NY - Extruder Area. On or about 4/6/22, full shift noise monitoring was conducted for the operator operating extruder 1. The operator for extruder 1 was exposed to 89.5 decibels (dBA) based on an eight hour time weighted average (8-hr TWA) for the sampling period of 382 minutes. A zero increment was included for the 98 minutes not sampled. The employer did not institute a hearing conservation program. Abatement certification must be submitted for this item. |
