THESE PLATFORMS ARE PUBLIC ACCESS, BUT THE FLOORBOARDS AND THE RAILING NEED TO BE STABILIZED/SHORED UP. THE PATHS LEADING FROM 120TH STREET, TO THE PLATFORMS, ARE ALSO IN DIRE NEED OF REPAIR. RESTORING AND STABILIZING THESE PLATFORMS WILL MAKE IT SAFE FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO ENJOY THE WATERFRONT AND INCREASE PUBLIC ACCESS IN A COMMUNITY THAT HAS BEEN HISTORICALLY NEGLECTED BY LOCAL PLANNING. AN INVESTMENT IN REVITALIZING THE WATERFRONT IN COLLEGE POINT WILL DEMONSTRATE THE IMPORTANCE OF EQUITY IN MAINTAINING OUR PUBLIC SPACES.
