The dust collector system and associated components, including bulk sawdust storage bin, were not installed and maintained to protect employees from fire and explosion hazards from combustible wood dust. b) Homag - Sawteq B-400 Dust Collector Area - On or prior to May 3, 2023, the dust collector for the Homag Sawteq B-400 profiLine Horizontal panel saw with pressure beam (Machine number 0-240-73-7266) was located approximately 14 feet from the exit door exposing employees to caught-in hazards in the event of a fire or explosion. The dust collection bags were changed out every few days to every few weeks. The dust collector system and associated components, including bulk sawdust storage bin, were not installed and maintained to protect employees from fire and explosion hazards from combustible wood dust. c) Homag Edge Bander Dust Collector Area - On or prior to May 3, 2023, the dust collection bags for the Homag Edge Bander dust collector were changed every 3 months exposing employees to caught-in hazards in the event of a fire or explosion. The dust collector system and associated components, including bulk sawdust storage bin, were not maintained to protect employees from fire and explosion hazards from combustible wood dust. d) Weeke - Grizzly Dust Collector Area - On or prior to May 3, 2023, the dust collection bag for the Weeke machine for boring, dowel and hardware inserting (Machine number 0-253-80-3401) was changed out as needed approximately every 4 weeks, with an employee operating the machine approximately 4 feet away from the dust collector exposing the employee to caught-in hazards in the event of a fire or explosion. The dust collector system and associated components, including bulk sawdust storage bin, were not installed and maintained to protect employees from fire and explosion hazards from combustible wood dust.
