29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) on or about 07/19/16 - 2nd floor, 31-16 Linden Place, Flushing, NY An employee was installing a new elevator in a 5-story building. The elevator frame was positioned at the second floor when it fell to the pit while the employee was inside. The employee was not tied off. ABATEMENT VERIFICATION IS REQUIRED PURSUANT TO 29 CFR 1903.19. |
