29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 7/6/17 at a roof replacement project located at 31 Whaley Avenue, East Aurora, New York; employees working on the roof were removing shingles on the roof of a two story house. The roof had a 12 in 12 pitch and an eave heights of approximately 22 feet. There was no fall protection in use. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED Ramsey Renovations was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1060692, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/30/15, with respect to a workplace located at 574 Main Street, East Aurora, New York. |
