29 CFR 1926.1153(g)(1): The employer did not establish and implement a written exposure control plan: a) Reptile house attic and habitat area - On or about 02/23/2018 - 03/24/2018, the employer did not develop and implement a written exposure control plan to control employee exposures to crystalline silica through the use of engineering controls as well as work practice controls. Employees used jack-hammers to perform manual demolition of structures including concrete walls and rock features with crystalline silica content which ranged between 9%-30% by weight. The jackhammers were not used with a water delivery system or dust collection system. NO ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED |
