29 CFR 1926.501(b)(11): Each employee on a steep roof with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems with toeboards, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) On or about 07/12/19, on a roofing job site, at a house at 5966 Hewson Road, Lake View, NY: Two of the three employees engaged in roofing work on the steep roof on the front right side of the house were exposed to a fall of approx. 15 ft. because they were not using fall protection. Pitch of the roof was approx. 8 in 12. NO ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED Leveled Contracting Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1330113, citation number 1, item number 1, and was affirmed as a final order on 8/15/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 669 French Road, Cheektowaga , NY 14227. |
