29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system. Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system: a) Albany Memorial Hospital - On or about December 2, 2013, employees were installing metal flashing without fall protection, exposing employees to fall hazards up to approximately 60 feet. Mid-State Industries was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(11), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 741342, citation number 01, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on 1/29/13, with respect to a workplace located at Greenport Fire Department, 216 Green Street, Hudson, NY 12534. Mid-State Industries was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 315751065, citation number 02, item number 01 and was affirmed as a final order on 3/13/12, with respect to a workplace located at John Moore Homes, 1 Harris Avenue, Mechanicville, NY 12118. |
