I was never notified of this debt, per 15 USC 1692 I was to be notified within 5 days. Per 15 USC 1692gf, unfair practices. No information given regarding debt. FTC Report filed and other reports filed. Unknown debt over 3 months now and no information given. Not sure who this company is and how I even owe them or ever entered into contract.

I was involved in a malicious wounding crime in XX/XX/XXXX that resulted in numerous medical bills. The judge ordered all medical bills to be paid by the guilty party. The bills were being charged to the victims protection fund at the time and being paid by them and then ultimately charged back to the guilty party. This bill was charged to me and was still paid by the victims protection fund, but sent to collections in XX/XX/XXXX and still shows on the collections portion of my credit report. This debt was not mine and was still paid. It should have never been sent to collections and should have never been assigned to me by law.

I have been recieving phone calls from this debt collector and i informed them i live on a fixed income, on social security XXXX, my only source of income and that i can not pay it. I informed them that proper documentation was sent to the hospital where i was seen. I was informed that i will be repeatetly called until i pay this debt, i told them its harrasement and i was laughed at and told too bad, i was also told the were going to take legal action.

I had emergency services at XXXX XXXX in Connecticut on XX/XX/2019. I have insurance with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, but back then it was through XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. After the insurance paid the claim, the bill collector ( Medical Revenue Servies MDS -- ref # XXXX ) claims there was an outstanding balance, but I never received notice of it. Now, years later, they are saying I owe over XXXX dollars. Since I have changed insurance companies, I don't have access to old XXXX XXXX Claims. The hospital doesn't have a record of the service or the account. The billing collector keeps calling about payment, but I don't think I owe it. I'm not sure how to resolve the situation. Any help you can give is appreciated. Thank you.

We received a collection letter from Medical Data Systems , Inc. dba Medical Revenue Service ( MRS ), Inc. located at XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, AL XXXX on XX/XX/2020 alleging their client, XXXX XXXX Hospital in XXXX, CA was owed money. we responded with a letter via certified return receipt on XX/XX/2020 denying any monies were owed and indicated that in accordance with the fair Debt Collection Practices Act that they should cease and desist all further communications, attempts to collect the debt, and provided an explanation of why the debt was not owed. The certified letter was verified as delivered. On XX/XX/2020, we received another letter from MRS acknowledging receipt of our letter and attempting to collect the debt again.

On XX/XX/2018 {$2500.00} was charged to my credit card for a previously negotiated settlement from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Medical Data Systems ). I originally owed around {$6000.00} for an inpatient hospital stay at XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was contacted by a debt collector from XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that if I paid them {$2500.00} " today, '' my debt would be zero 'd out ; stating that his supervisor approved this negotiated settlement. I borrowed the {$2500.00} from my parents and paid this debt. I was advised that they would mail me a confirmation letter stating I had a {$0.00} balance, which I never did. on XX/XX/2018, I received a phone call from XXXX, a debt collector at XXXX XXXX XXXX, stating that the original debt collector XXXX " made a mistake '' and " was not meant to offer this much of a discount, '' as this was not approved by XXXX XXXX XXXX ( even though it was approved by the debt collector 's supervisor ). When I asked to speak to XXXX 's supervisor XXXX, XXXX then stated that XXXX was " new '' and that they were " dealing with this mistake internally. '' XXXX told me that he would refund the money ( the agreed upon settlement of {$2500.00} ) and then set up a new payment plan for the entire amount originally owed. I told XXXX that when XXXX set up this agreed settlement, he violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act by falsely misrepresenting what I owed in order to settle the debt. I even called on the morning of XX/XX/2018 to ensure that the payment went through and that everything was all set, and was advised again that everything was good on their end and that they would mail me a confirmation letter, which I did not receive. XXXX falsely misrepresented my debt and falsely led me to believe that if I paid a large lump sum at once, my debt would be settled. I did not agree with a new payment plan with XXXX XXXX XXXX at this time as I believe this debt collector acted unfairly and unethically. Since this was an internal mistake ( after I already paid my agreed upon settlement ), XXXX XXXX XXXX should have to honor their initial settlement agreement with me despite them now having to lose money. I was just on the phone with XXXX for 25 minutes and have the entire phone conversation recorded, where he stated in detail in the conversation the initial agreed upon settlement and that it was an internal mistake that " they were dealing with. I have contacted collector, Medical Data Systems I, trying to obtain information on what the {$350.00} debt is that they are reporting on my credit, date opened XX/XX/XXXX. The collector only attempted using word tricks to try and get me to admit I owe this debt. I requested a detailed statement, and never received. I have disputed the collection with XXXX 3 times. All 3 times requesting supporting documentation for the unknown debt. The collector reported back to XXXX all 3 times as accurate, but still has not provided any detail to what they are trying to collect.
