Each employee on a walking/working surface (horizontal and verticalsurface) with an unprotected side or edge which is 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level shall be protected from falling by the use of guardrailsystems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. a) At the jobsite, on the street-side dormer, on or about 3/2/12: An employee was pointing a chimney, approximately 30 feet from ground without any fall protection. b) At the jobsite, on the street-side dormer, on or about 3/2/12: An employee carried a wheelbarrow from the ladder access to the roof, walked across the roof and placed the wheelbarrow onto the dormer, at heights over 20 feet from ground without any fall protection.
