Citation text line 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts and crushing hazards: a) On or about 02/09/2018 I the brewery; where the barrier guard (a Plexiglas door) was not interlocked to stop the bottle labeler machine when the door was opened. Employees were exposed to shear points and crushing hazards while attempting to clear jammed and mis-fed labels. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
