Citation text line 9 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): a) Worksite: The employer did not ensure the Ribbon Blender was equipped with adequate point of operation guarding to prevent employees from having any part of their body enter into the danger zone during the blending process. The machine was able to be operated with the point of operation exposed; on or about 7/18/17. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
