Citation text line 29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) (Worksite), residential home, second story roof - Employees were engaged in re-roofing work on the second story low-pitched roof, 3:12, of a residential home. The employees were working at and near the edges of the roof at a height of 18'-7", without fall protection. The employees did not recognize the hazard; were unaware of the procedures to minimize the hazard; and had not been provided with the requisite fall protection training on, or about May 29, 2014. Note: In addition to abatement certification, the employer is required to submit abatement documentation for this violation in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19.
