I am writing to file a formal complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ), a debt collector that is reporting a debt of {$220.00} to my XXXX credit report.
This debt can not be verified, as every time I call XXXX to inquire about it, they have told me they would remove it from my credit report but have never followed through with that promise. The last time I spoke with a representative, they requested that I send them a copy of my credit report. This request is highly unusual and concerning, as XXXX is the one reporting this debt to the credit bureaus, and they should be the ones verifying its accuracy, not me.
Additionally, I noticed that another debt collector, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ), is also reporting the same debt with a balance of {$220.00} on XXXX, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX which appears to be double reporting. I am unsure what this debt is for, and I have not received any documentation or paperwork pertaining to this debt they claim I owe.

In 2014, I was the victim of identity theft. A fraudulent XXXX account was created in my name. A debt incurred unbeknownst to me and was forwarded to WAYPOINT RESOURCE GROUP XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX TX XXXX.
I received the collection notice and filed a police report on XX/XX/2014. I notified the collections agency and XXXX and XXXX.
Each year since then WAYPOINT has placed a derogatory mark on my credit report. Each year I contact XXXX and XXXX and XXXX to file a dispute and the identity theft paperwork. XXXX immediately canceled the debt.
Im 2014, I contacted WAYPOINT to confirm that XXXX had deleted the debt. Yet, each year this appears on my credit report. I dispute the report again. Each year WAYPOINT ignores this dispute. Each year WAYPOINT notifies credit reporting agencies without any communication or request for payment from me.
Attempts to call WAYPOINT have been futile. Attempts to serve emails have been futile. I have received no communication from the company.

my husband moved from XXXX to XXXX over 12 years ago and while living there in a rented condo on XXXX XXXX he ordered cable services from XXXX XXXX and used my social security #. I have contacted them several times they added his name to the account but would not change the social security number to his. He left XXXX and moved back to XXXX however he left a {$530.00} balance which they recently put on my credit report dropping my credit score by 58 points. I am retired and only get {$700.00} a month and I can not pay his bill. He works and has income but clearly doesn't care about my credit history as we are currently going thru a divorce.

I was renting an apartment in XXXX, Florida. Cable TV service was through XXXX. When I vacated the apartment ( XXXX/XXXX 2019 ) the cable box was inadvertently left behind. After a number of weeks, I received either a telephone call or written notice from Waypoint Resource Group, a debt collection agency, saying that I owed them {$440.00} because the cable box was not returned. ( This is unlikely as the management of the luxury building would have returned the box to XXXX when they took possession of the apartment. ) When I received the first telephone call I asked the caller who they were and when the person said they were calling about a debt I owed for non return of the cable box, I said that I never received an invoice from XXXX. The caller then said that I owed {$440.00} and when I questioned the amount as being far above what I would have owed for the non return of the cable box, the caller said he was in no position to determine that and that is what I owed, so I was left in the position of having to overpay Waypoint for a cable box that I had not ever received an invoice from XXXX for.
I am ready to pay XXXX XXXX invoice if Waypoint produces an invoice from XXXX.
The first indication that this matter had been sent to a credit agency was when I went through my annual review of my credit reports. Checking on who Waypoint is, their record of complaints indicated that it was possible they were not following acceptable debt collection procedures.

I have sent several letters asking for validation and the method used to validate multiple fraudulent and questionable items on my credit report. I have not received back anything in over 45 days for these accounts that are very much inaccurate and fraudulent accounts. This credit bureau is disregarding the law and taking advantage of consumers and this has caused big stress in my life as I am trying to buy a new home. The most recent certified letter I sent was XX/XX/2023.
In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting act. The List of accounts below has violated my federally protected consumer rights to privacy and confidentiality under 15 USC 1681.

Receivables Performance placed a collection account on my credit bureau reports for a bill from XXXX XXXX. This was for an XXXX I purchased from XXXX XXXX. I returned the phone and cancelled the service within the 14 day return period. I have a receipt for the returned phone. I contacted XXXX XXXX several times and was assured the issue was taken care of. However, I continued to received bills. Then on XX/XX/23, this collection account showed up on my credit reports. I contacted Receivables Performance to dispute the charge and was advised to email them my receipt for the returned phone, and I was advised it would take 48 hours for them to review and correct this. On XX/XX/23, I emailed the receipt to : XXXX. I received no response within the promised 2 day timeframe. On XX/XX/23, I called Receivables Performance and spoke to an individual in the " Escalations Department '' who advised he was was unwilling to search through the " hundreds '' of emails they receive, and moreover, that there was nothing they could do about it. Instead, he attempted to get me to pay. I am NOT interested in paying for an item I returned. The reference number given by Receivables Performance is XXXX

I recently paid off a balance owed to XXXX XXXX through an agency named Waypoint. I paid the amount in full and they guaranteed they would remove their claim from my credit report. I still have yet to acquire anything from them that indicates paid in full! My claim is also against XXXX XXXX. I switched plans from XXXX to XXXX, XXXX was to pay off my debt from XXXX. Because XXXX was delayed in doing so XXXX placed a collections action on my credit report. After going back and forth with XXXX they finally sent me cards to pay my XXXX bill. I took care of it through Waypoint and on XX/XX/2018 paid then through the online portal. I still have not heard from them. They are impossible to get in touch with. I have tried calling them several times o speak with someone and can not leave a message or take care of getting this removed.
They said they would remove my XXXX XXXX from my account and I need this done asap as I have done everything in my power to do the right thing.

The number for Waypoint is XXXX XXXX XXXX. They never contacted me because they had no way to do so, but to add it to the social security number.

WAYPOINT RESOURCE GROUP is trying to collect on a debt that they can not verify. The debt was already unverifiable with one collection agency and my guess is they sold it to Waypoint resource group. Waypoint resource group has illegally reported it to the credit bureaus, they didn't send any notification to my residency, they can not verify my residency, and I was never given 30 days to dispute.
