On Wednesday, XX/XX/23, I received a notification about a derogatory mark on my credit report. It came from Trident Asset Management via XXXX XXXX in XXXX, Texas mentioning I owed a balance of about {$180.00}. I have never lived nor traveled to Texas in my lifetime this is truly a case of identify fraud. This is the second time that Trident Asset Management has placed a derogatory mark on my credit report in less than 1 year. I called Trident Asset Management and explain to them once again I was a victim of identify fraud and they mentioned they will remove it from my credit report. I am not certain to why this continues to happen but I need this removed from my credit report.

I have contacted Trident by mail and phone to request debt validation because this does not belong to me. A name that is similar to mine and an address I never lived at being reported on my credit reports by them via XXXX . I contacted XXXX which they let me know the information did not match and that ALSO the date of the account was RE-AGED by Trident. So not only are they insisting on keeping an account that does not belong to be on my credit reports, they have also BROKEN & VIOLATED THE FCRA & FDCPA because they listed it from the time they purchased this account from XXXX in XXXX and XXXX informed me that the account was closed in XXXX . TRIDENT is under SEVERAL VIOLATIONS and I have sent letters and calls and they have changed NOTHING.
I spoke to a supervisor whom attempted to lie to me and tell me it 's the credit burea fault it 's on my report and to file a dispute in which I have filed MANY and they keep telling the bureaus the information is accurate. At this point, I am going to move forward with legal action because XXXX XXXX documentation proves them to be in violation. It 's a similar name to mine, NOT my social, nor my address as I live in NY and never lived in XXXX XXXX XXXX or any part of Florida. AND they also re/aged the account which is DIRECT VIOLATION of the FCRA as stated. They also lied and said they never received any disputes from me but I have multiple dispute from the credit agencies as well as the BBB.

In XXXX of 2015, I received a credit alert from my credit monitoring company stating that a collection account was placed on my XXXX credit report. Upon reviewing my credit report the same day, I discovered that Trident Asset Management LLC place a collection account for an unknown debt. This is my first knowledge of the alleged debt. Within a few days I sent a debt validation via the United States Post Office Certified mail to Trident Asset Management LLC informing this company that I was enforcing my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I received a letter from them, along with my ORGINAL LETTER for validation back with their letter stating that if I dispute their claim ( which I did in my ORGINAL LETTER ) to do so within 30 days. Trident Assets Management LLC has CLEARLY violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collections Act by ignoring my request for validation and dispute, according to Fair Credit Reporting Act Section 609 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), ( c ) ( 2 ) ( E ), 611 ( a ) 1 ( A ), and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Section 809. Also, in my letter I clearly stated the laws and there definitions. I received another alert from my credit monitoring on XXXX XXXX, 2015 after requesting validation/disputed, stating that Trident Asset Management has again placed the same alleged collection account on my XXXX report. Trident Management has clearly ignored my request for validation and disputes as well as Federal Law.

I was on the phone for over an hour disputing my case with representatives and supervisors to adjust the error to no avail and they hung up the phone. On XXXX they showed on my credit report there's no availability for XXXX for XXXX and XXXX where I have the statement. My last transaction was XX/XX/XXXX and I made an payment of {$150.00} on the XX/XX/XXXX my last payment. By the XXXX they said I had {$75.00} credit available but balance was {$220.00} after paying {$150.00} on the XXXX with no further card transactions? They also stated on XXXX of XXXX an XXXX charge of XXXX was on my account for that month when I even didn't have one and the only transaction from XXXX was on XX/XX/XXXX.

Im really upset that they had the audacity to send me a settlement letter from the XXXX. XXXX XXXX address and it was dated XX/XX/XXXX.

I have sent numerous debt validation notices and never received a response back from the creditor. As per the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act ( FDCPA ), a creditor is supposed to response and no attempt to collect until they have responded. However, this creditor has not responded and is still attempting to collect, which is in violation of the FDCPA.

I contacted originally back in year 2015 by Trident Asset Management for a debt from XXXX XXXX. At that time I instructed them that can not be true, because I had successfully returned all the equipment from the company, so there shouldn't be any debt. I even confirmed with XXXX that the equipment was returned and nothing was owed. However since then, I've been sent letters, harassing phone calls and a negative stain placed on my credit history. Such malicious and egregious besmirchment is both unfair and illegal. I would like this to be disputed entirely and removed from my credit report immediately.
