29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(5)(i): Non-self-supporting ladder(s) were not used at an angle such that the horizontal distance from the top support to the foot of the ladder was approximately one-quarter of the working length of the ladder. a) Worksite, 10 Captains Neck Ln., Southampton, NY 11968, Westside of residential building - An employee working from a ladder jack scaffold on the Northside corner of the residential building, approximately 14 feet above the ground below. The WERNER Portable Extension Ladder was set up at approximately 15 feet high and extended approximately 10 feet away from the residential building. The horizontal distance was approximately from the top support to the foot of the ladder was approximately one-half of the working length of the ladder, exposing employees to fall hazards; on or about 07/12/2018. b) Worksite, 10 Captains Neck Ln., Southampton, NY 11968, Westside of residential building - An employee working from a ladder jack scaffold on the Northside corner of the residential building, approximately 14 feet above the ground below.
