Citation text line 29 CFR 1926.1001(c): The employer shall ensure that no employee is exposed to an airborne concentration of asbestos in excess of 0.1 fibers per cubic centimeter of air as an eight (8) hour time-weighted average: a) Y-9 Area - On or about 1/10/13, a pipefitter was in a JLG/cherry picker. While descending, the basket of the cherry picker nicked some thermal system insulation piper covering. Some insulation fell into the basket and onto the floor below. Employer failed to determine employee's exposure concentration. b) Y-9 Area - On or about 1/11/13, employer's supervisor required one or more employee(s) to remove the debris containing thermal system insulation. Employer failed to determine employee's exposure concentration. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED.
