I received several emails from XXXX XXXX, which is working through halsted financial ( which i do not understand how they can be two agencies coming after the debt ). The emails went from XX/XX/2021 to XX/XX/2021. On XX/XX/2021 I requested for the agency to validate the debt. Which could be validated by sending to me via email or postal service. After that date I have not received any validation, nothing regarding the debt and they refuse to respond. This is part of right for this to validated. Also they sent personal information to an email they thought was mine but never verified that either prior to doing it with information about a debt and amount owed ( with no validation of debt ) I believe they are now trying to pursue a judgment. With out covering my basic rights revolving debt. I have also read several articles of this agency going against consumers rights and a class action suit.

XX/XX/2018, Collection agency identifies themselves as Halsted Financial Services contacts me from phone number XXXX. Claims they are collecting debt for XXXX. I requested them to substantiate the debt, and send me all paperwork on the matter. Representative threatens to " take this matter higher '' and warns me that failing to pay today will damage my ability to obtain credit cards, auto loans, and other things. Representative does not give me any contact information for Halsted Financial, so I request him to stop calling me until he provides paperwork regarding this matter mailed to the address he has on file. He warns me that I am being " uncooperative '' and disconnects the call.
No such account exists on any one of my credit reports, and even after i alerted the representative that I had never done business with the company, he continued to harass me to pay this account.

I have no outstanding business with them and I told them to investigate the transaction to see who was using my information to take things out in my name and they had agreed and told me to ignore the attempt to collect any money from me.

Halsted Financial Services , LLC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, IL XXXX Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to dispute the collection account listed on my consumer report, which was reported by your agency. According to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) regulations, I have the right to request validation of this debt and to dispute its accuracy. Failure to Provide Validation Information : Under CFR 1006.34 ( b ) ( 5 ), it is required that collection agencies provide validation information upon request. To date, I have not received any validation information from your agency regarding the debt in question. Therefore, I am disputing the validity of this debt until proper validation is provided. Denial of Opportunity to Dispute Account : According to 12 CFR 1006.34 ( c ) ( 4 ) ( i ), consumers have the right to dispute inaccurate information on their consumer reports. However, I have not been given a chance to dispute the account before it was reported to the consumer reporting agencies. Violation of Consumer Rights : I believe your agency has violated my consumer rights by engaging in false, misleading, and deceptive practices in attempting to collect this debt. This year I attempted to pay my debt owed with a reduced amount offered by a debt collection agency. I paid on XX/XX/ an amount of {$420.00}. months have gone by and I see my debt is still on my credit. The Email receipt as well has another name that's not mine, It says XXXX XXXX. After viewing Halsted Financial Services response to my Complaint i became very disturb as the labled the fabric of my Complaint as Categorically False. This paints me as a liar and dishonorable before my God pursaunt the Proverbs 12:22 of the Holiday Bible which states that lying lips are and abomination unto the Lord. This dishonor blemishes me as I approached the season of XXXX XXXX. I Envoke Spiritual Jurisdiction and and Demand that Halsted Financial Services immediately address the matter.I have detailed recordings of all my calls with Halsted Financial Services and can objectively prove and will prove in a court of Law that the used deceptive tactics, and refused to State the intent of their communications even when asked directly if they were a debt collection agency or Compant. While the company 's response is to the CFPB is to my satisfaction given the courses of action they promise to take, it does not alleviate them of the verbal contact that was in place for the consideration of my rights that were envoked and violated and can not change the facts of the events that occurred. I fully intend to seek payments and remedy from Halsted Financial under the stipulation of contractual terms that was given and communicated to be understood. Pursaunt to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX of The Holy Bible, and doctrine of my XXXX XXXX, Halsted Financial Services must render unto me what belongs unto me or stand in breach of my Spiritual Rights, as they denying me the right to Stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ had made me free and to not be entangled with the yokes of bondage pursaunt To XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, as I fully intend to seek what is owed through legal means. Halsted Financial Services must pay me in full for all verbal contracts they agreed to with understanding as they expressed, as these contracts were perfected by proformance. As my Yom Kippur fasting begings Thursday i will not entertain any business dealings or transaction. Halsted Financial Services is therfore given a grace period from the time of receiving this notice until Wednesday XX/XX/XXXX, at XXXX XXXX XXXX to fulfil all payments. Beyond that period i will file a federal lawsuit for the violations of my Spiritual rights and to seek contactual value as stipulated. If Halsted Financial Services sends me a Check for {$50000.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX before XXXX XXXX, i conditionally agree to dissolve all contracts, pending/open, and or perfected and agree to a full non-discloser of this settlement inwhich i agree not to share any information of this to anyone. This debt originated with XXXX XXXX XXXX and is very old. I experienced hard times starting in 2017 and could not pay the debt. However, I did pay an insurance premium on this account which was supposed pay the debt in the case of job loss. I started this process, but from what I can determine, the creditor did not apply the insurance and settle the account.
Fast forward to the present and they came out of the woodwork trying to collect this debt. They are using three debt collectors, Halsted Financial Services, XXXX, and XXXX XXXX. Each collections agency is stating a different amount for the debt owed.
XXXX XXXX, has threatened to file a lawsuit in multiple emails to my private email account. See Attachment.
The Halsted agency calls me incessantly using different numbers from the state of Georgia. Given the current situation with the coronavirus, in case a family member or friend is attempting to reach me from a different phone number, I can not screen calls. The Halsted agency even started sending me text messages. See Attachment.

Debt collecting company Halsted Financial Services calls at all hours of the day. When I have answered their calls, they want me to confirm my identity and I refuse to do so unless they tell me what it is they are calling about, which they refuse to do so unless I identify myself first. I have told them numerous times that I will not do so when I do not have any debt with any company and they continue to call morning, day and nighttime.

I already disputed my debt with the previous Debt collector, XXXX XXXX who represented XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, the original creditor through cfpb in XXXX for failure to provide evidence that I owe such debt. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Haltsted Financial Serivces, LLC, reference number XXXX, claiming that I owe XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Reference Number XXXX. Haltstead Financial Services, LLC claims that I owe {$1200.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX and that they will discount 50 % off the amount if I choose to pay before XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. They also claim that they tried to contact me by mail but I never received such notice until now. This is the second time XXXX XXXX XXXX has share my name, social security and private information to debt collecting agencies. They are harassing me for a debt that I never owed.

I keep receiving call s from this number. They identified themselves as Halsted Financial Services. I refused to give them my personal information because of all the fraud out there and because someone is in possession of all my personal information.
They would not give me any information. I told them to stop calling and to send me a bill with details and they INSTEAD keep calling and being rude and threatening.
