THIS APPLICATION IS A ROADMAP TO CONTINUING TO BUILD A DRUG-FREE COALITION OF TEENS AND YOUTH CAPABLE OF SELF-DIRECTED COMMUNITY-LEVEL CHANGE FOR GENERATIONS TO COME. IT FOCUSES ON ENGAGEMENT WITH MORE THAN 400 BLACK AND LATINX YOUTH ANNUALLY, AND THEIR GUARDIANS, TO DISRUPT SOCIAL NORMS, STRUCTURAL RACISM IN HEALTH AND EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS, AND TO ADDRESS SOCIO-ECONOMIC CONDITIONS SUCH AS JOBLESSNESS AND HOMELESSNESS. OUR AIM IS TO USE THE CAPACITY WE HAVE, AND CONTINUE TO BUILD, TO CHANGE COMMUNITY NORMS AROUND ALCOHOL AND MARIJUANA USE THROUGH THE FOLLOWING: MONTHLY UNIVERSAL MEDIA CAMPAIGNS WHICH EDUCATE AND INFORM, PARENTING SKILLS ENHANCEMENT AND VOCATIONAL TRAININGS TO INCREASE EMPLOYMENT AND HOME CONNECTEDNESS, ENHANCE ACCESS TO DRUG-FREE ACTIVITIES FOR TEENS TO REDUCE MISUSE, REDUCTION OF ACCESS TO AVAILABILITY OF ALCOHOL IN THE COMMUNITY, INCENTIVIZE BODEGA OWNERS TO REDUCE SALES OF ALCOHOL TO TEENS, CREATE MURALS AND REDUCE ALCOHOL ADVERTISEMENTS TO CHANGE THE PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT.
