29 CFR 1926.850(a): Evidence in writing was not available that an engineering survey performed by a competent person had been performed prior to permitting employee(s) to start demolition operations: a) At the jobsite, on the 3rd floor, on or about 12/20/16: The employer used a Kobelco Excavator to demolish a building where his employees were working within approximately 20 feet from the demolition itself. This work was performed without having first provided for an engineering survey performed by a competent person to prevent unintended collapse of the structure. Infinity Enterprises was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.850(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1125836, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 7/12/16(date), with respect to a workplace located at 1649 South Salina Street, Syracuse, NY. |
