29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet(1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a) 1st floor stair landing leading to front entrance: Employees were working at the 1st floor stair landing, which had missing guardrails. Employees worked without fall protection and were exposed to falling approximately 10 feet from the stair landing to the basement level. On or about 02/12/2020. TGC Construction Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1313340, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/21/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 64-38 Cloverdale Blvd, Flushing, NY 11364. |
