Hello, I sent in a check to Navient to pay off one of the my loans in full. I included a letter with the check and indicated on the check which loan the monies should be applied to. Navient did not apply the monies to the correct loan. The loan does not show it is paid in full. Instead they arbitrarily spread the monies through all ( XXXX ) loans.

I am writing to formally request the discharge of all student loans held by XXXX due to the companys deceptive practices, misrepresentation, and failure to provide proper guidance regarding my loan repayment options. XXXX misled me by steering me away from income-driven repayment plans, which would have made my payments more affordable and eligible for eventual forgiveness. Instead, I was repeatedly encouraged to enter forbearance or deferment, causing my loan balance to balloon due to capitalized interest. This manipulation has led to years of financial strain and has profoundly affected my ability to meet my financial obligations. Also, XXXX has a history of misreporting my payment status to credit agencies, severely damaging my credit score. The misinformation provided by their representatives has delayed my pursuit of more favorable repayment options and contributed to an overwhelming amount of accrued debt, well beyond what I originally borrowed. These tactics are consistent with the widespread fraudulent behavior for which XXXX has been sued by numerous states and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ). XXXX conduct has caused me significant financial harm, mental distress, and a long-term burden that could have been avoided with honest and fair guidance. As a borrower who relied on XXXX advice and entrusted them to manage my student loans, I believe I am entitled to be fully discharge all related debts. Their misconduct has created an unjust financial situation, and I ask that my loans be fully forgiven. Thank you for considering my request. I hope the CFPB will swiftly and decisively take action to hold XXXX accountable and provide the relief borrowers like me desperately need.

I am a cosigner on my daughter 's student loan. I was not properly notified of 1 missed payment on my daughter 's loan. Navient claims they did their due diligence to contact me however, the email address they had on file was not accurate. I never received an email. They claim they mailed letters, I never received. They claim they called but did not leave any messages. I never received a phone call that identified as being from Navient. Navient put a negative rating on my credit report which dropped me from an XXXX to a XXXX. They refused to withdraw the negative report. As a co-signer, Navient has the responsibility to notify me properly before unjustly affecting my credit rating. As co-signer, I can't settle anything if I am not properly made aware. Navient has refused to withdraw the negative mark on my credit report and stated that I can file a dispute but won't guarantee that it will be overturned.

My {$100000.00} student loan debt was transferred to Navient when XXXX XXXX split. I consolidated my loans for ease of repayment. However, their interest rates were not, thus each individual loan remained with its original interest rate. I paid off most of my loans by making overpayments, which I allocated to the individual loans in order of highest interest. I have only XXXX remaining loans, XXXX with a significantly higher interest rate. Navient, however, changed its website so there is no longer an option to allocate overpayments to separate loans. For months after switching to the new website they provided a link to the previous website, so I used that instead to allocate payments to the higher interest loans. This option no longer exists. In the explanation of loan allocation provided on the website, the company states that if loans are consolidated, payments must be made together and distributed evenly between loans. I believe this is incorrect and illegal. Strangely, in a separate description of online payments, the website claims one can allocate online payments to loans as they wish. Yet, that option is not actually there. Navient should be providing loan customers the option of allocating extra payments to their loans as desired.

In XXXX, I took out a private loan from Sallie Mae ( Navient ) in the amount of {$8000.00}. This loan required repayment to immediately begin. I have consistently made the monthly payments on this loan for over 13 years. I haven't been late on my payment for this loan I have not been late on a payment for this loan in almost 10 years.
In looking into my loan, I discovered that at the time of distribution, my principal total was {$8000.00}, but the " unpaid principal '' began at over {$14000.00}. So I have been accumulating interest and paying on a number that was not what I applied for or was dispersed. In XXXX my loans were sold to Navient and the total principal was changed to {$6700.00}. In the 10 years since they were sold, I have paid over {$7000.00} on this loan and the total principal owed has only decreased to {$5700.00}. There is not a way for me to control how my payments are allocated and there doesn't seem to be explanation anywhere. Today when I went to review this loan again, the status has been changed to in-school deferment. I have not requested this, nor did I give permission for it to be put in this status and I do not have a way of correcting this myself. The pay off date for this loan currently shows XXXX and with the current amount I am paying monthly, this would result in my paying another {$13000.00} or more on this loan.
How a loan for {$8000.00} that has never been refinanced could end up costing the payer over {$24000.00} in the lifetime of the loan is crazy to me.
