Citation text line 29 CFR 1926.501(c)(3): The employer did not barricade the area to which objects could fall, did not prohibit employees from entering the barricaded area, and did not keep objects that could fall far enough away from the edge of a higher level so that the those objects would not go over the edge if they were accidentally displaced. IN THE ALTERNATIVE 29 CFR 1926.451(h)(2)(i): Where there is a danger of tools, materials, or equipment falling from a scaffold and striking employees below, the area below the scaffold was not barricaded, and employees were not prohibited from entering the hazard area. Location: 524 Riverside Drive, New York, NY. Top of Fitness Center Setback Roof Sidewalk Shed, Rear of Building. The employer did not barricade and/or prohibit employees from working/walking in an area below where objects could fall. Employees were dismantling a 2 point suspended scaffold outrigger support from the roof top of a building, a junior I-beam fell and struck an employee below. On or about 07/12/2018.
