Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau I had Purchased a XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX which was XXXX : XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX and the Address is for XXXX is XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX and XXXX made me a Merchant owner for the XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, after purchasing that Merchant website from Mr. XXXX XXXX which was the Senior Marketing Consultant for XXXX XXXX XXXX I realized that the New Business is not making any profit despite my time and effort. In addition, Mr. XXXX XXXX took Electronic Signature from me for the Retail Installment Contract for XXXX XXXX XXXX along with other Initial Signs before I read the Contract Paper Properly including XXXX Disclosure Form, XXXX shipping program rules, and Buyers right to cancel and notice of cancellation. Well Unfortunately the transaction date was XX/XX/XXXX and Mr. JXXXX did not ask me to read the contact paper before he approved the virtual online store finance Amount which was {$2800.00} and XXXX XXXX XXXX Charged my XXXX XXXX Credit Card ending in XXXX {$1200.00} for the down payment of the Retail Contract.
Moreover, when I requested Him that I am unable to Continue the New Business and I would like to close the New Business he Initially refused but later send me the closing form where I had Signed to close the New Business. The Merchant website was closed and the business was totally closed. However, after two three months of closing the Business I had received the Debt Validation letter Along with the Retail Installment Contract from a Collection Agency Named Monterey Financial Services , XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX, CA XXXX. Since then they are keep sending me debt validation letter until this year XX/XX/XXXX and they are randomly charging the Interest amount on the Initial retail Installment which was {$2800.00}.
Also, they had opened a report on XX/XX/XXXX to the XXXX and the XXXX the leading credit Bureau Agencies. Currently on XX/XX/XXXX the XXXX report showing the collection Amount of {$4000.00} and The XXXX XX/XX/XXXX report showing the Collection Amount of {$4000.00} I have all the supporting document Retail Installment Contract, XXXX XXXX Merchant Account along with the XXXX disclosure form, Buyers. Right to cancel and notice of cancellation. Including the XXXX Account Closure Form. Please check all the document along with this description letter.
In Sum, I want to take this collection off from the XXXX, and XXXX Credit Report and Dispute the debt amount from the original Creditor Which was XXXX XXXX XXXX

Monterey Financial is a 3rd party who works with XXXX XXXX XXXX who are a fraudulent company.
The following is what happen : XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX duped and defrauded me. Monterey Financial works with XXXX XXXX and they took my money. Initially took {$500.00} deposit from my XXXX XXXX XXXX credit card.
Services were false, NEVER got services, web login or password. I canceled immediately.
On XX/XX/2019 I was duped by XXXX XXXX XXXX in the streets in XXXX while on vacation. They said " just show your id and a credit card and they held it until manipulative lying presentation was over. I did not approve this {$500.00} credit card charge.
Furthermore I immediatly canceled after I saw on the internet how they defrauded many consumers. I went in person and canceled with XXXX the manager on XX/XX/2019. XXXX SAID NO PROBLEM.

I was duped into signing a contract by Monterey Finantial. They shook {$500.00} from my credit card without my knowing I was signing a credit card approval.

I was recently made aware of a debt that I may owe to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$78.00}. This debt was related to a deposit account I had with this organization. I noticed the debt reporting to my credit files and disputed the information. I was quickly advised in writing from XXXX XXXX of this debt. I made a call to XXXX XXXX this morning XXXX/XXXX/2016 to advise them of my intention to pay this debt for {$78.00}. They had advised me this account was placed with a company called Monterey Financial based out of California.
I contacted Monterey Financial when they opened this morning ( XXXX/XXXX/2016 ) and was advised for my account number with them and that my balance is not {$78.00} but {$120.00}. I argued stating that XXXX states it to be {$78.00} and that is what they are reporting. They stated that the account was placed with them for collections over 3 years ago. They had very old contact information and had no way of getting in touch with me. They stated they last attempted to reach me on XXXX/XXXX/2016 with no luck as again the information they had was almost XXXX XXXX XXXX.
After going back and forth with their Agent XXXX XXXX XXXX. I decided I was getting no where. So I contacted XXXX again and they informed me that anything they would be charging would be their fees or accumulated interest on my original debt.
To the best of my knowledge the FDCPA expressly forbids this. As a consumer I am not required to pay any unauthorized charges such as interest rates, fees, or other charges. XXXX also advised me on this call that only the amount of {$78.00} would be sent to them. I called back Monterey Financial and they advised me that the total amount of interest was billed at XXXX cents/day. This brought my balance to {$100.00} and they were charging a {$20.00} processing fee to handle my payment. They also advised me that they total amount of {$100.00} would be sent to XXXX and they only collect the {$20.00} for the payment fee.
As far as I can tell I am paying an unlawful 10 % interest on a {$78.00} debt to capcom fcu and an unlawful {$20.00} payment processing fee to Monterey Financial.
I made this payment because I am attempting get approved for a mortgage and was advised this could potentially hinder me. After making this payment I quickly researched and realized that I may have been charged undue interest and payment fees on behalf of XXXX and Monterey Financial.

I originally received a call from this company attempting to collect a debt. I offered a settlement without doing any research on the account because I recognized it. They denied the first settlement offer, I then tripled the settlement offer and still they refused. So I did some research and disputed the account with the 3 credit bureaus. They all removed the account from my report on the grounds that it was too old to be collected on.
I called this company and notified them of the finding by the credit bureau and asked for them to XXXX out the balance and close the account, they refused. I then asked not to be contacted any more. They continue to contact me on a weekly basis. This morning I awoke to an alert on my credit report, they have since reported the same debt removed from a dispute again and continue to call me.
Please help me, these people are harassing me and ruining my credit that I have been trying so hard to fix.

On XXXX/XXXX/17 I called Monterey Collections along with a financial counselor who is helping me with this case. We called because I discovered some fraudulent accounts on my credit report. When we called we spoke with XXXX XXXX ID # XXXX who basically accused me of giving my grandson authorization to speak on my behalf and said that I signed for a dog when I never did. When I would try to explain myself she would talk over me and would n't let me explain myself. I was trying to tell her that I never authorized anyone to purchase a dog and that I found out about this debt after I was contacted by the collection agency. She continued to say that I did authorized this dog purchase as I was calling to try to find a solution about this fraud.

I explained to them what is happening and they told me that they can not help me. Yet, they are collecting money I don't have. I am left with a large monthly student loan payment and incomplete job done by this group. I am now being bombarded with telephone calls everyday to pay for this service that was not done.

Only my name and social security number matched what XXXX XXXX XXXX, the company that issued the credit to XXXX XXXX has on record in the application. Every other information, date of birth, address, job, telephone, wage, and email did not match, yet the application was approved.

I am writing to address a serious matter regarding the Monterey collection information associated with my credit report. I have recently been experiencing persistent harassment from your company over the phone, insisting on a debt that I am not obligated to repay.
Firstly, I want to emphasize that I have no prior knowledge of any involvement with the Monterey Collection. I never took out a loan, nor did I enter into any agreement to make payment towards a loan account. In light of this, I want to stress that I am not a debtor, but rather an innocent victim of your company 's erroneous practices.
You must take immediate action to rectify this situation. I kindly request that you promptly remove any references to the Monterey collection from my credit report across all three major credit bureaus. This is crucial in safeguarding my financial reputation and ensuring that my creditworthiness remains intact.

On XX/XX/XXXX I sent Monterey Collections XXXX a certified letter requesting they send me any documentation bearing my signature. I asked for documents of any contract that i and or Monterey Collections XXXX ever had and on multiple occasions they replied to my certified letters with what they feel is they proof ... my problem is they sending me an alleged contract with a signature ( I didn't do ) between myself and XXXX XXXX XXXX
I sent certified letters expressing they reporting on my credit file ( inaccurate information and can they remove it from all XXXX reporting agencies..they responded by saying its they last time responding to my mail and I need to start paying on what I don't owe them .... I never had a verbal contract with said Collection agency, nor did I ever sign a contract with said agency that I agree to pay them anything. Please help me get this embarrassing, humiliation, derogatory error of my credit file.

XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX a ads online stating that they are a model agency, looking for modeler. I contacted them and they told me to take my daughter for a photo shoot. After the photo shoot they took us to a private room and sold us a dream, about getting my XXXX yrs daughter in the modeling industry, to model for brand such as XXXX, XXXX XXXXXXXX etc. We got excited and took their {$4000.00} dollar package. At the time i paid XXXX upfront and signed a receipt, and paid the rest within the course of 4 months. The sale representive XXXX XXXX told me that they would mail out all physical goods along with a port folio, XXXX card and contract with all the necessary stuff a newly modeler requires. After i finished paid i contacted XXXX for my shipping tracking information they told me that all the goods will be send digital because of covid they have changed their policy. I told the representative that i paid for physical goods and that I'm awaiting for my goods in the mail. I gave them up to XXXX week nothing came in the mail. I called them and requested a refund they refused and disconnected the phone calls, i called numerous of times no one pick up the phone. I contacted my bank XXXX XXXXXXXX and explained to them what happened and they reversed the transaction and labeled it as fraud. This company is a scam with a lot of bad reviews, i reported this company to the FTC. I never signed a contract with this company. I signed a receipt when i made the payment, and they took my signature and pasted it on a contract. If a consumer signed their signature, it won't reflect in the same form. Every time a person writes, it will look different. If you look on their contract that they have sent to the credit bureau my signature is the same on every page. Its not accurate they copy amd paste my signature on all their forms, it fraud to paste someone signature on a contract without their consent. I never received any calls from Monterey Collection services to verify my information. I did not gave XXXX XXXX / monterey collection my social security number. I want to know how did they access my social security without my consent. At the time of payment i used my debit card ending in XXXX. I reached out to XXXX XXXX XXXX numerous of time to disputed monterey collection off my credit report and they did nothing about the matter. XXXX deleted monterey off my credit report. XXXX are the only bureau allowing monterey to ruined my credit. XXXX XXXX XXXX has a high rate of scam complaints XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX every review on XXXX is stating that the company is a scam, they need to get shut down.

The agency is saying that this is a timeshare account that was opened up back in 2021 in XXXX. I never travel to XXXX in 2021. I never opened up any type of timeshare account. I reached out to the collections agency I provided them with my email address. The collection agency was supposed to send me a copy of a signed contract. I never received the contract. I called them several times for updates. Can not get in contact with anyone. I leave messages nobody calls me back.
