Citation text line 29 CFR 1926.601(b)(4): The employer had in use motor vehicle equipment having an obstructed view to the rear which did not have a reverse signal alarm audible above the surrounding noise level or an observer signaling it was safe to back up the vehicle: Location: 137 Maple Avenue, White Plains, NY 10601 On or about: June 14, 2022 a) Where the employer disabled the audible backup alarms, and did not have an observer to signal that it was safe to backup, and relied on rear view cameras, the camera was rendered ineffective due to glare from lights facing the rear of the vehicle, obstructing driver's view behind the vehicle.
