29 CFR 1926.403(i)(2)(i): Live parts of electric equipment operating at 50 volts or more were not guarded against accidental contact by cabinets or other forms of enclosures, nor by any of the means listed in subparagraphs (A) through (D) of this paragraph: a) At the jobsite, on or about 6/7/17: Wiring pulled to a hallway and un attended at the time of the inspection was live. This area was used as a temporary staging point for scaffold components and other material, and frequented by other workers carrying the same. b) At the jobsite, on or about 6/7/17: A temporary light was mounted onto the ceiling and powered with a cord that hung down into the passageway and was spliced and held together with wire nuts. Workers who frequented this passageway would duck underneath or to the side to avoid the spliced live wire. |
