The violation was most recently observed on or about May 13, 2021, at a residential construction site located at or near #3 Oxford Court, Suffern, New York 10901, where four employees were not protected from fall hazards of approximately eighteen feet to the ground. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that its employees performing residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected from falls, and that no employee is allowed to perform residential construction activities at heights greater than 6 feet above lower levels without adequate fall protection. 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system. The employer does not require the use of any form of fall protection when employees are performing residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels. The violation was recently observed on or about May 11, 2021, at a residential construction site located at or near #7 Milford Lane, Suffern, New York 10901, where three employees were not protected from fall hazards of approximately twenty feet to the ground. To abate this violation, the employer must ensure that its employees performing residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels are protected from falls, and that no employee is allowed to perform residential construction activities at heights greater than 6 feet above lower levels without adequate fall protection. Pursuant to 29 CFR 1903.19, within 30 days the employer must submit documents describing the steps it is taking to ensure Compliance, including a description of how these steps protect its employees from fall hazards. |
