Additionally, Flow and Restore is committed to training and developing a body of leaders in the field of wellness to teach Yoga practices and to put a conscious, thoughtful, and responsible relationship to the appropriation of most holistic practices at the forefront of their teaching and, in being responsible for the role that cultural appropriation has played in the fields of Yoga and other holistic wellness practices, are able to create (for themselves and their students) an honest, humble, and honoring relationship to these often ancient practices. Right now, there are a couple of ways that we are working in the field to do this and there are two broad categories to our offerings. One. We offer wellness programming. On a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, as well as for curated full-day wellness events. These programs include Yoga, Meditation, Massage, Reiki, Reflexology, Tai Chi, Nutrition, and Personal Development, etc. We are leaders in the field of virtual wellness programming and have cultivated several kinds of "at-home" wellness workshops that are ready-to-be-deliver to the populations we serve. These events are usually private, although in some cases, and especially when services are virtual, they can be open to the public. When we are in person we are providing these events all over the five boroughs of New York, up into Westchester, Dutchess, Ulster, and Putnam Counties in the Hudson Valley, and out as far as the east end of Long Island. We offer our virtual services to partners extending throughout the United States and into Puerto Rico. Our relationship with UnitedHealthcare, specifically, began in 2016 and when they are looking to partner with someone to provide a wellness service at an event in the community (whether that's client appreciation, client retention, or client procural) in New York, we are who they reach out to. In 2019, Flow and Restore incorporated as a team of 20+ Holistic Wellness providers and our other partners include Staten Island Head Start, Bright Point Health, Integra Managed Care, Phoenix House Brooklyn Community Recovery Center, among others. Two. Virtual Yoga/Meditation Training/Programs that are offered to individuals and companies: Our 200-Hr Yoga Teacher Training is an example of this, as well as our Yoga Nidra Continuing Education online course, which was recently completed by a cohort of health care workers at the Hudson Valley Veterans Association. Flow and Restore are able to provide formal certifications to groups of healthcare providers in Breathwork and Meditation, Yoga, and Mindfulness for Stress Management. |
