I was kicked out of the 11 month XXXX program at Lincoln Technical Institute after approximately 3 months because I was exceeded their XXXX consecutive absence policy. However, the reason I was absent was because I was in the hospital. I have the hospital record showing I was in the hospital during that time and I 'm also attaching a breakdown/explanation of tuition as well as the Lincoln Technical Catalog. I 'm currently taking them to court to settle the remaining tuition debt that they are trying to collect from me ( approximately {$7000.00} ) because I was kicked out of the program and was not allowed to complete their program. I feel like I should n't have to pay the amount because I was n't able to complete the 11 month program due to them kicking me out because I was in the hospital.

I am writing to formally address several violations of my federally protected consumer rights to privacy and confidentiality under 15 USC 1681. The accounts listed below have been mishandled : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Upon reviewing my XXXX credit report on XX/XX/year>, I noticed several inaccuracies and incomplete entries. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), when a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report, it is required to follow reasonable procedures to ensure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual ( 15 USC 1681e ( b ) ).
Furthermore, according to 15 USC 1681i ( 5 ), consumer reporting agencies are mandated to promptly delete or correct any information found to be inaccurate or incomplete after a reinvestigation. Specifically, they must : XXXX. Promptly delete the inaccurate or unverifiable information as appropriate based on the results of the reinvestigation.
XXXX. Notify the furnisher of the information that the data has been modified or deleted from the consumers file.
Additionally, under 15 USC 1681s-2, furnishers are prohibited from providing information to any consumer reporting agency if they know or have reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate.
I request that the necessary corrections be made to my credit report immediately, and that I be informed of the actions taken to resolve these issues.

The school has been paid through the VA and federal grant. They were penalized for issues on there end and the federal government took back the pell from them and now the school is threatening me. I also did not give them permission to run my credit but I was alerted today that they ran my credit.

My son signed for a private student loan with Lincoln Technical Institute in the amount of {$9100.00} on XX/XX/2017. He is the sole person to sign the loan. He did not start to pay the poan on time and Lincoln Technical Institute reported this loan on my credit report and put me down as co-signer of the loan. I have all the documents that where signed and there is no co-signer to the loan. I called Lincoln Technical Institute to have this loan removed from my credit report and was told that i signed on the loan. I was told that she had the document and i asked for a copy. Weeks later i received the same document showing only my sons signature and no co-cosigner, my signature is not on the loan.

I stareted Lincoln Tech school for XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Prior to that I met with their finacial advisor who worked on loans and ensure this was the best private loan. Throughout year long program i made monthly payments in addition to the school receiving grants for my account. During my last XXXX things got tricky and I had to pay past due of 3 months which has been paid off now. Lincoln Tech, offers students a private loan with a company XXXX which is another balance outside of the school receiving federal payment, and my monthly fee to them. So fast forward to XX/XX/XXXX Im at my last month of the XXXX classes and stressed about tuition issues which Lincoln Tech pride themselves saying they will work with a student no matter what! I get sent into collections for XXXX loan that is XXXX!!! The worse part is I didnt even take my boards by the time I get thrown into collections. The Lincoln finacial department headed by Mr. XXXX has been a nightmare! In XX/XX/XXXX I pass my boards and is confronted with situation of not finding a job for a while. Lincoln Tech promised XXXX job opportunities for their students and that wasnt true most people had to find one through other means. In the spring I start working part time and start making payments on the XXXX loan that was placed in collections before I even passed my boards or graduate from the school. In order to make more money Ive decided to apply to XXXX school and one of the requirements is an official transcript from school that I attended. So I reach out to Lincoln finacial office and spoke with their lead person Mr. XXXX or XXXX Iexplain the situation, and how I feel that its not right to be thrown in collections with out installment options to receive official transcript. Mr. XXXX was very rude and immediately shut down anything that I had to say. How can this be for a school that wants referrals, and sell people the idea of working with them. It hasnt even been a year that Ive graduated to be thrown into collections. I feel its unjustified, very conniving, to mislead people to go to a school and be stuck at the end. Meanwhile there were other employees for example Mrs. XXXX who was willing to work with me. Im a student who isnt finacially fit to pay {$8000.00} to get a copy of my transcript to further my education in order to get out of debt. I was told I cant get my transcript even after I started making payments and offered to do payment plans. Mr. XXXX informed all his staff that this cant be done. When I called XXXX XXXX XXXX where Lincoln financial charged it off to discuss lowest payment that can be accepted because I dont have the job I thought Lincoln would help as per their career service I was denied what I can afford. As per the collection agency Lincoln Tech will not go lower than XXXX to get my transcript which I cant afford and the XXXX program starts in XX/XX/XXXX my transcript is due before XX/XX/XXXX. When I called Lincoln corporate I was only given an unofficial transcript which isnt valid. Im sharing this frustrating, misled situation which many other alumni students are facing and are looking to bring light to! Lincoln Tech, tells prospective students they will work with you their finacial system is almost fraud, they overcharge, and just have you sign loan papers and at the end youre stuck and nobody wants to help. I contacted the school president XXXX XXXX and explained frustration she vowed to email me and speak to Mr. XXXX I was left waiting and never got a call back. After calling a corporate they sent an unofficial transcript which cant be accepted and Lincoln is aware of that. All Im looking for is to receive my official transcript and make payments on a lower reasonable settlement cost. I already started making the payments, but it seems Lincoln Tech and their finacial office doesnt care about the alumni students facing finacial hardships and burden from the XXXX tuition! Im very disappointed that this is the result. They have given official transcripts before Mr. XXXX is just refusing to do so even though Ive made payments on account.

I got a misunderstanding of my lone, when I was singing up to go school, i think they did n't explain the student lone well. I was unemployed at the time when I first started school. I was paying {$230.00} per month, did n't know that it was XXXX different types of loans I had to pay back, not until I graduate. After I finish school they did n't even get a job as they promises, so I when back to my old job, but I only could pay for a while until this is it, am not making as much money. I thought I was mislead in that lone transaction. Am a XXXX XXXX XXXX man with responsibilities.what good paying job could they get me to pay back the lone, when the course is only for couples of months, there 's so much to learn in automotive industry, am not a well educated. So I could n't get into any step program with any of those top end dealer company. For a person with out any mechanical background it 's hard to learn most things, hands on in XXXX months. Am not in any situation right now to pay back the lone.from i graduate school i do n't do anything auto mechanic work, i do n't remember mostly nothing that I have learned. Am hardly can survive, credit shot, need help.
