Employees cleaned up the silver cyanide solution (which contains hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to, potassium cyanide and potassium silver cyanide.) Two employees contacted the silver cyanide solution and got a rash on both arms. The employer did not provide employees with appropriate arm protection. (b) Silver Plating line 6 - On or about 6/30/18, a hose came off and there was a spill of about 30-40 gallons of silver cyanide solution. Employees cleaned up the silver cyanide solution (which contains hazardous chemicals such as, but not limited to, potassium cyanide and potassium silver cyanide.) An employee got the silver cyanide solution on his pants. The employer did not provide employees with appropriate torso protection. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED |

Methods and observations that may be used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area. 2. The physical and health hazards of the chemicals in the work area. 3. The measures employees can take to protect themselves such as specific procedures, appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used. 4. The details of the employers Hazard Communication Program including an explanation of labeling systems, Safety Data Sheets and how employees can obtain and use the appropriate hazard information.
