29 CFR 1910.101(b): "Compressed gases." The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks shall be in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in Sec. 1910.6. a) In Yard Outside of the Shop: On or about 5/10/23, a cylinder of argon was not supported against being knocked over as required by Section 3.4.4 of the Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965 b) Inside Outdoor Metal Storage Container: On or about 5/10/23, a cylinder of oxygen and two cylinders of acetylene were supported against being knocked over as required by Section 3.4.4 of the Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965. Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the inspection file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by 29 CFR 1903.19. |
