Complaint What Happened Hello, my name is XXXX XXXX. I am contacting in regards to seller account XXXX XXXXXXXX, email ( XXXX ) merchant ID XXXX. I have had an account on Mercari for nearly a year now with an exceptional track record. There was a total of XXXX sales, XXXX star feedback with a rating of 4.92 %, and 1 % return rate. I had only one customer claim the item they received was not as described which took place on XX/XX/23, many months ago. I have had zero listings removed, no knowledge or understanding I violated any policy until yesterday on XX/XX/23 I received an email out of the blue stating my account was closed due to the belief I was selling prohibited items. I immediately contacted your support asking why this occurred, and the ability to rectify any concerns you may have felt about my selling of items. I was denied this, and not allowed to submit any information to appeal. Having understood your terms & agreement I have currently $ XXXX being held, without any option to withdraw the funds. There was nothing on my account that flagged a purpose to make such a drastic decision, and although I understand the want to ensure sellers uphold your policy, I was not given a fair option to appeal this decision that was made by mistake. This does not seem like it would legally be upheld in the court of law, you have made a determination based on no basis other than actively go out of your way to make judgement about my listings, however I have had XXXX customers receive products from me, and they have felt differently, many of which clearly state in the feedback my products are authentic. Therefore if this decision was made without alternative motives, it would only make rational sense based on all the evidence outlined I would be given at the very least an option to submit my case and appeal your decision. We are speaking on grounds of ethical practices a marketplace should operate under.

Complaint What Happened Good Day My name is XXXX XXXX, I was using a XXXX app ( XXXX, XXXX ) to sell my Korean music photocards, XXXX send me notification on XX/XX/year> that my account is limited and will be closed permanently and I wont be able to use the app. I never violated any rules or terms of condition. I never received any warnings about account closure. I sold my items and shipped them out to the buyers, the value of the items I sent is over {$150.00} Since my account is limited and pending closure I cant do anything, I cant transfer the money from my sales to my bank account, basically all the items I sent out for free! I tried to reach out XXXX several times and never got any response! Complaint What Happened XXXX and Mercari refused to give me my {$220.00} back despite these AirPods that I purchased through them being fake Mercari as well refused to give me the money back despite me proving they were fake and submitting it and then they went ahead and paid the seller for these despite me adamantly saying i wanted to return them. never sent me a return label despite claiming thats the reasom they closed my account. paypal refused to do anything as well. prohibited counterfeit items that are supposed to be what they refuse to sell and terminate accounts doing so but clearly didnt. since i called them out on this they then closed my account because I threaten to dispute this transaction because they sold me a prohibited fake item that is a illegal to do so.

Complaint What Happened I requested a direct deposit on XX/XX/XXXX, of my balance of {$400.00} on mercari selling app. I had a previously suspended account and it triggered another suspension. I contacted support and after many attempts, someone was finally helpful and verified my ID and I was able to access the deposit page. But it was still showing me error messages, I asked support again. And somehow someone closed the inquiry, and they are asking me what account was it for because they dont see it. And then someone said I need to use a new debit card to deposit into. I got a new debit card, and its showing me activities not allowed. And support responded with please use a new bank account. I emailed them its a brand new debit card from a different bank. They emailed back with the same message, please use a new bank account. I told them again, they responded the same way every time. I dont know if its just bots messages but it doesnt make sense with me saying its a new bank account, and get a response of please use a new bank account, it sounds ridiculous but its true. Its been back and forth like this. Ive been emailing with their support since XX/XX/XXXX, everyday. No resolution in sight. Mercari also imposed a {$2.00} deposit fee without noticing their users, its not much per person, but they have a total of XXXX XXXX active users in XXXX, thats $ XXXX if they take {$2.00} from each user. Its literally easier than robbing a bank. Multiple banks. After getting backlash online, they postpone the date to XX/XX/XXXX, giving some users time to transfer their money out. If some sellers have sales in progress, Mercari still have the {$2.00} from each user. Its not a lot per user. But think the number of active users they have. Even if its XXXX XXXX users, thats already {$2.00} XXXX. This is not agreed upon when people were signing up. The company saw the money sitting in their app and decided to take a chunk of it. XXXX not credit or debit. Its literally robbery. I have {$400.00} stuck there, and I wont be able to get it out before XX/XX/XXXX. Please help.

Complaint What Happened I read this on the company 's website, but the relevant information is missing : " XXXX is also a licensed money services business in the U.S. jurisdictions listed on our Licenses/Disclosures page. Residents of certain states may have rights regarding concerns or complaints with our services ; see the Licenses/Disclosures page for more information. '' 1 ) The company sent me an email that they were having order processing problems, and I could cancel the order and my XXXX would be refunded {$XXXX}. ( see attached PDF ) 2 ) I cancelled my order, expecting a refund. 3 ) It appeared that my order was not cancelled, so I emailed directly to XXXX to clarify my cancellation for a refund because of the problems with this order. 4 ) It appeared that the communication system XXXX uses does not have a human being representative, or there is no direct human being at XXXX to speak with when there is a problem. I asked repeatedly to speak with someone at XXXX to fix this, because the email responses I was receiving did not address directly my cancellation and refund, though the email response did acknowledge the company had " system error. '' 5 ) Subsequently after contacting XXXX repeatedly to fix this cancellation for the refund, my account mysteriously had error messages : " something went wrong. '' ( See attached PDF. ) I could not again log into my account, after I raised these complaints with the company. 6 ) The next day, the company wrote to me that I was beyond a XXXX hour time limit to submit a complaint about the order. This was very confusing. I again asked to speak with a human being at XXXX, and asked for the appropriate contact to understand how my money was transferred through the company. The company refused to provide a direct human being contact. 7 ) I next looked at the company 's help page in detail. Complaint What Happened XX/XX/XXXX XXXX the buyer purchased my authentic XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX mercari approved the return despite stating i felt the buyer was going to steal from me. i couldnt confront the buyer myself as mercari conveniently had my account banned for disputing a fake XXXX charge so upon receiving my package since it was returned low and behold theres no wallet. i contact mercari and they say billing and payments my account is still currently banned so i told she would stole from me and mercari hasnt done a single thing about it. ive told them this would happen and to not approve the return for this reason they did anyway

Complaint What Happened asked Mercari multiple times to remove the block of my account. Notified my bank that there was an unauthorized purchase made on my Mercari account so I disputed it. I got an alert at XXXX XXXX this morning. My account was restricted. Ive been contacting them hourly at this point and still have not heard anything, they refused to get back to me saying billing payments back to me. Ive asked him multiple times to put this hold on my account so that I can get access to my money and get back to selling on my account. They refuse to do anything to help me.

Complaint What Happened mercari allowed a buyer on their platform to steal my authentic XXXX XXXX card wallet and has not sent me the money it was worth. i notified them to not accept the return because i thought the buyer would steal from me mercari did anyway. i sent the package and took a video of myself packaging it bc i thought theft would occur. it was purchased on XX/XX/year> shipped XX/XX/year>. the return request they granted on the XXXX, it comes back and low and behold theres no XXXX XXXX wallet in the package. the buyer stole the wallet and sent a empty package back. as i said they would. i notify mercari that my wallet was stolen the same day they send an automated message claiming billing and payments they say your account is closed never once mentioned anything about my WALLET they allowed to be STOLEN DESPITE ME TELLING THEM NOT TO APPROVE THE RETURN FOR THIS REASON
