After my many years of employment in finance, media and marketing fields, the creation of my own enterprise, La Marea, was overdue. This endeavor’s goal was the creation of a business entity providing varied business and media consulting services. Included: Accounting and core fiscal financial management, and marketing and strategic planning. My niche is to focus on seeking out markets and associated funding sources, with the principal goal being the highlighting and positive promotion of worthy stories and events stemming from women, minorities, and LGBTQ persons, in the U.S. and around the world. Both time constraints and financial challenges have been prevalent since my operations commenced in 2017. Indeed, 2020’s upside-down events in Brooklyn and the entire world necessitated the short-term transfer of my efforts to full-time employment, with La Marea’s full reactivation now imminent. Lessons have been learned. Exploration of efficiencies and the fine-tuning of objectives have occurred. Example: With the vast podcast audiences abounding, along with this ultra-cost-effective method of reaching huge numbers of my potential ‘Consumers’, this pursuit is amongst the most dominant of my business strategies under consideration. The daunting task of ‘creating the wheel’ in the world of podcasts has been evaluated, and my process improved upon. I have now located several tangible potential ‘business partners’ available to carry out my pursuits, with my task greatly reduced, and short-term achievable, in altering my efforts to greasing of the already invented wheel. Indeed, I have discussed my ideas and plans with several other like-minded businesses, with each holding a profound desire to champion the causes valued within both my business and personal heart & mind. Attainment of the requested status within NYC and NYS will greatly assist in achieving my business goals. |
