LLC/Staten Island, NY- Chelsea Plant Area: The employer did not ensure that employees were provided with effective information and training on the details of the hazard communication program developed by the employer. Employees were not familiar with the new label elements to include the pictograms, the information contained on the Safety Data Sheets (SDS), the location of the SDS and the location of the hazard communication program. Employees are exposed to hazardous chemicals on daily basis including but not limited to cement dust, concrete additives, oils and lubricants. Condition observed on or about August 15, 2016.
