Complaint What Happened I received a deposit XX/XX/2022 for my work at a temporary job I got accessing by my uncles XXXX account. My bank Albert rejected funds on the deposit withdrawal date of the XXXX because the deposit was wrongfully placed in my uncles name. I requested for my bank to send it back to the issuer which is my third party employer which they refused. Even after letting XXXX know about the situation they are unable to access 1099 paystubs for temp workers such as me due to their third party payroll system. I have sent ALBERT information they requested to accept the deposit provided by my employer. My bank Albert has held the deposit still and although notifying them of all my resources available from my employer. The deposit confirmation previous deposits with my name and hours worked. XXXX management conversation an a selfie of my uncle with his ID. I am thoroughly disgusted with the practices and service recieved from ALBERT

Complaint What Happened # XXXX So on XX/XX/2022 at XXXX I had received my direct deposit in my account. After I receive it, there was an {$800.00} unauthorized transaction that was made on my account after the deposit was posted. In the morning, I immediately freeze my card and contact my bank about the transaction. They told me that they couldn't do anything just yet until the transaction was posted onto my account it was still pending at that time and I'll be able to dispute it. So I had to wait 1-3 business days for the transaction to be posted and then I'll be able to dispute the unauthorized transaction to my bank. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX the transaction was posted on my account and I was then able to file a claim to dispute this transaction to my bank. They said that it will take 1-3 additional days for them to review it and to respond back to me. I had ask them about cancelling the transaction and they told me to contact the Merchant about cancelling it. I immediately got in contact with the merchant of XXXX and talk to someone that was in charge and explain to them what had happened. They told me that there was no one that made a purchase of this magnitude in person or online and therefore couldn't help me. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX they review my claim and there results was that I basically was aware of the balance and the {$800.00} transaction made on my account. I immediately texted them that there was a mistake on there part because at that time of my direct deposit was posted, I was sleeping and wasn't aware of it until that morning when I saw my balance. They concluded that there was no error occurred and as a result of it, the bank was not able to refund or credited the lost money that was taken out of my account.

Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/2021 I had a balance of roughly {$900.00} in my Albert bank account. I had made a purchase for a rental car through the mobile app XXXX in the amount of {$440.00}. There was an error on the merchants end and I was immediately refunded the entire amount. I then checked my account and seen that there was a positive balance of {$440.00} pending to be re-deposited into my account. I then contacted Albert customer service asking when I could expect it to be available in my account. I was informed they could see it was pending. I continued to contact them. And within days I realized they had removed the transaction from my account completely. ( Later even realizing it was removed from my statements also ) but thankfully I took screenshots of my receipt, my transaction history, the pending positive balance, and our conversations where the representative agreed that what I was correct, that the purchase was made and they could see the balance pending to be re-deposited. But months later Im still battling with this horrible bank Albert to get my money back. Ive been ignored and given the run around numerous times. Ive been told so many different things as to why I dont have my money. Ex. That I never made that purchase, that I never had enough in my account to make that purchase, or being told that the transaction never went though. But Ive followed up with asking well if the transaction was never made, where is my {$440.00}? But Ive gotten no clear answer. Ive went through my statements numerous times. Ive calculated everything and it shows everything Im saying to be correct and Ive told them this many times and they just refuse to take any accountability for their actions. All I want is my hard earned money. Its not okay to be shamed by my own bank and I will NOT stop fighting until I get whats mine.

Complaint What Happened I have an account with Albert, a company in connection with XXXX XXXX. I used them for months without issue and then I started losing deposits. At first it was my direct deposit from my employer and I thought this was a mistake on my payroll provider. Until a week later where I did not a receive a refund deposit from my school either. When trying to reach Albert support was unhelpful. They can only be reached through text and gave me a run around involving what happened to my money, stating that they see know deposits from either. I have deposited money into this account from both multiple times over, this is not a routing number or account number error. Im doubting support even truly has access to accounts, they didnt ask any verifying information about who I was. Im heading in the direction of going to court.

Complaint What Happened I have tried to cancel my subscription with Albert banking app, but they're telling me that I can't because I have a balance and they won't allow me to transfer it to my personal bank account. Upon attempting to contact the customer service number, all I received was a computer generated voice without the option of speaking to a real prrson. They took {$170.00} out of my bank account without my knowledge. I was like to have this issue resolved.

Complaint What Happened I opened an account with a money management bank account in an app called Albert. I recently got a new debit card from my bank I linked to Albert and all of a sudden it UNLINKED my bank. They told me to relink my account as well as my new debit card. I performed this on XX/XX/XXXX. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and it's still giving me an issue. So I decided I want to close my Albert account. According to them to do that I need to withdraw all the money that I have saved in that account so that it can be XXXX. I have done this but there's still a {$1.00} left in my account. On Albert. However upon checking my bank I've noticed that Albert did indeed actually deposit the money into my account but it's still showing up on Albert that I have a positive balance of a dollar XXXX. Not only that but it's still not connecting my bank account so that I can withdraw the funds. They have been absolutely no help at all I find it very odd and quite disparaging that one little change I made to my account cause them to completely unlink my bank account and is making it ridiculously difficult to really get back. I am beyond upset and disgusted with this company I do not want to do business with them anymore but they are refusing to close the accounts let alone their system is just not accepting information that is credible in regards to relinking my checking account from which my income comes from. It's has been a very frustrating and unprofessional experience I've had with them and I do not want to ever do business with them ever again but for whatever reason there are refusing to close my account.

Complaint What Happened I tried to use my " Albert '' prepaid debit card on Thursday XX/XX/XXXX at the gas station. The transaction kept failing. I checked the account funds were/are available however it shows " your card is currently unavailable ''. It usually shows the virtual card however now it doesn't show any information other than my name. I have sent text messages, emails, called XXXX XXXX called customer service. You can't speak to anyone about your account, refers you to the app to send email or text. My direct deposit goes into this account, I can't buy food, get my medication or pay my rent. No one has responded to me. Please help me with this.

Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/XXXX I reached out to XXXX through their customer service email. I wanted to know how I could get cash back through their debit card. The bank replied the same day and stated that " You can still use a Cash Back even without having your direct deposit to XXXX or getting a Genius subscription. '' As XXXX explicitly stated that I should be able to get cashback regardless of any paid subscription I signed up on the XX/XX/XXXX based on this ground. Had this cashback feature not available to me I would not have enrolled. But it turned out that it was false advertising. I wrote to XXXX to tell them on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. Complaint What Happened XX/XX/year> {$XXXX} XXXX XXXX fraudulently charged a membership fee and proceeded to withdraw funds from XXXX Account without my permission. I proceeded to contact the customer service agent and escalated the issue to the supervisor to no avail. I was in contact with them for 4 hours, and proceeded to be transferred to multiple times each time having to reiterate the same issue. I even contacted my bank and provided a transaction id to no avail. XXXX XXXX began making discriminatory remarks, even after providing my name XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX continued making derogatory remarks calling me Latravis. They proceeded to apologize and I thought nothing of it. Thats when support staff continued to make underhanded comments regarding race and ethnicity. At this point I didn't know where to go, I am aware {$XXXX} isn't a substantial amount of money but I am a college student so things begin to add up.

Complaint What Happened I bank with Albert bank ( theyre issued cards through XXXX XXXX XXXX I received a cash advance from them in 2021. The account I have on file to pay back that cash advance I no longer have access too. After XXXX days they decided to suspend my account after I just got paid over this unpaid cash advance. Telling me even if I pay the cash advance I will not have access to my funds for XXXX after paying. XXXX in their cardholder agreements its says the do that or can do that. They only way to reach out to them is email or text. Once I was told my account was suspended they stopped answering me. This is bank is a scam and it is trying to take my hard earned money. Complaint What Happened On XX/XX/2022, I opened a checking account online using my friend 's referral link, at Albert, a financial technology company, its Banking services is provided by XXXX Bank, Member FDIC. There're 2 issues with the referral program and I think it's because their customer onboarding system can not properly track customer 's account opening activity. Issues are as below : 1. I opened this account due to Albert 's referral program offering a referral bonus of {$150.00} to both parties. The person signing up for an account needs to complete the following requirements : Direct Deposit $ XXXX every 30 days for 90 consecutive days ; Spend $ 100+ on goods or services with the debit card every 30 days for 90 consecutive days. From XXXX to XXXX, I set up my employer 's payroll to Albert with $ 200+ and spent at least {$100.00} each month. However when I reached out the the customer support, they stated that I did not signed up using a referral link. However, I can find from my XXXX XXXX browser history that I actually did use a referral link. 2. In addition, I referred 3 of my friends to join Albert, and only 2 of them were successfully confirmed by Albert that they are eligible for the referral program. Again, Albert 's customer support stated that the third person did not use my referral link. However, I sent my referral link to my friend and he used the link to join. After several times ' communication with Albert 's customer support, they refused to confirming the eligibilities of the account opening bonus for my friend and myself.

Complaint What Happened On Monday XXXX, I submitted a transfer request of {$100.00} from my external bank to Albert Cash, the {$100.00} was debited on the XXXX It was promised to be there on the XXXX ( Why it will take 10 days is beyond me ), It was not there, and customer service has no idea? It seems that Albert Cash is only interested in debiting cash from my other account, without crediting me. However the behavior is quite similar to a Front Running Ponzi Scheme, which is why I want to make CFPB aware to investigate the bank asap!

Complaint What Happened I was an Albert account holder for XXXX years. As of XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX there were several fraudulent atm withdrawals on my account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I was in my county of residence when I tried withdrawing {$400.00} dollars from my account for rent. I was denied by Albert, I followed up with a text message addressing the situation, I sent a text message because thats there way of communication and you speak with a robot. There are no actual customer service representatives. They replied with a standard you have exceeded your daily limits which is {$500.00}. I thought this was a mistake on there part because I never took out any money prior to going to XXXX there are XXXX transactions from XXXX I made one for {$400.00} at XXXX onXXXX that got rejected at the atm. I then made a debit card purchase for {$21.00} that was completed at XXXX and approved, then I tried one more time to take out {$200.00} and got declined. This was XXXX at XXXX for XXXX. Me not knowing that my account was already fraudulently withdrawn in XXXX - XXXX at XXXX, they withdrew {$180.00} with XXXX atm charge, that settled. At XXXX, they withdrew {$160.00} with {$2.00} atm fee that settled. then at XXXX they tried taking {$180.00} got rejected then at XXXX tried {$60.00} got rejected. At XXXX they tried again {$60.00} dollars with {$2.00} atm fee, that settled. At XXXX another {$60.00} that settled, $ XXXX fee, at XXXX they tried for another {$60.00} and got rejected. Total including atm fees {$470.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX which is a XXXX deli that has a cardtronic atm that I found out when investigating a atm withdrawal of {$200.00} with a {$250.00} atm fee that settled. At XXXX another {$200.00} with a {$2.00} atm fee that settled. At XXXX they took out another {$100.00} with a {$2.00} atm fee that also settled. Then on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX someone went to a J line XXXX deli another atm withdrawal of {$81.00} that got rejected. So the total of that amount that was takin out is : {$510.00} XXXX including atm fees. This is interesting because the limit is {$500.00} a day somehow they were able to take out {$980.00} in less then XXXX hours. Mind you I never once got an alert or a notification about all these unusual transactions. I woke up XX/XX/XXXX to open my Albert app to see almost a {$1000.00} missing. I immediately contacted Albert via text. I also immediately checked to make sure I had my debit card. I also immediately froze my account I screenshot the transactions and send them to Albert over text and email. I sent them an email before they even asked me too. While speaking to them via text there were several more transactions that were taking place in XXXX while I was speaking to them from my residence in XXXX XXXX. These were at XXXX XXXX at XXXX for {$180.00} pai iso XXXX XXXX ny that got rejected because my card was now frozen, and the only reason I was getting a text was because I already froze my card. 1 fresh deli and grill also in XXXX at XXXX the tried another {$120.00} and was rejected also. I had to wait for all withdrawal to stop pending in order to dispute as soon as they stopped they were disputed I made sure I put all info in correctly. Also when I got back the disputed charges and outcome there were transactions that I never disputed there were disputed and a bunch of fraudulent transactions that were not disputed so Im not sure where the mix up was but I did address this to them. They told me that the case is closed. Anyone looking at my bank statement can see that there is some type of suspicious activity going on.The claim number for my case was XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX my Case was denied and closed. pin and card was used, pin was not shared with anyone. The transaction details dont support the reported event, the pattern isnt indicative of fraud. This is what they told me. the evidence they sent me was my transaction history saying card was present and pin was used. Isnt there a scam were they can replicate your card and snap a picture of your pin.. I never lost my card nor have I ever shared my pin with anyone. My ip address should show that I was not in those areas at those times of those transactions. After a few days of fighting for my money all of a sudden Albert sends me a text message saying they suspended my account on XX/XX/XXXX due to unusual activity. Now they close my account for unsual activity after they just denied my dispute. After my account was closed I receive a notification about there privacy policy that if I wanted to continue to use Albert I would have to accept there written terms, while reading it was stating that I could not bring them to small claims in reference to denied disputes. This whole thing is suspicious I almost feel as if Albert is just as bad as the person who took my money. All I want is a fair and thorough investigation done and possibly someone to make sure they did a proper investigation because from what I can see there couldnt of been much of any investigation. I want my money that I worked hard for. I have rights and Im entitled to get that money back. I told Albert that if it was fraud then are you saying I made the transactions? I told them they should file a police report on me for disputing charges that I made on my own so maybe the police could investigate this and see it wasnt me. I contacted the XXXX XXXX police department not long after getting denied my dispute they told me unless I have compelling evidence it was me they cant let me file a police report. I have my location services turned off on my phone so I could not trace my steps but the best I have are those transactions on XX/XX/XXXX that I was at XXXX in the XXXX area an hour after these fraudulent atm transactions occurred in XXXX. From seeing all Alberts complaints I should assume that I made a mistake putting my hard earned money into this account. I Just want whats mine..

Complaint What Happened I have an account with Albert bank. They have a program to automatically withdraw funds from my normal bank account ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and set it aside in savings. I had to wait over a week to even be able to access the full amount of funds they withdrew from my account, their FAQ tells me this os due to the amount of time it took to make the external transfer, although my bank account certainly had had the funds removed the day the transaction was initiated. When I finally saw they had completed their end of things and that I had the funds there in my Albert savings account, I went to withdraw the money ( {$310.00} ) and the best option was to have it put onto my Albert checking account card. After withdrawing the money, both the checking account and savings account showed a {$0.00} despite saying that it would be instant in my checking account. This was yesterday. I have not been able to get a hold of anyone, as they do not offer live customer support agents to speak with. Additionally, on the phone number they offer you to call and get customer support instructions, the instructions are not accurate. There is no option that they have described on the app. They have stolen over {$300.00} from me, and have given me no form of recourse or path of resolution for this. I need that money now. I want this company to be penalized to the highest extent possible and I obviously want my money back.

Complaint What Happened Albert.com Alber the app in the XXXX store is a scam app. They take money claiming to help you save money for rainy day funds claiming to help you with financial support. I have tried to contact Albert there is no phone number only email. In XXXX Albert was taking money from my account without my full knowledge in XXXX when I saw an email about my account I re-downloaded the app and tried to withdraw my money from my account in the app. I no longer have the same bank account but I updated all my details as well as bank information. I was unsuccessful in withdrawing my money. I contacted Albert support with over 50+ emails of me sending proof from the previous bank, my current bank, my ID, and a picture of me holding my ID I sent all of this with videos showing that I was unsuccessful with every way to withdraw funds. I was told to contact them back when I have proof from my bank that I was the owner of the account. I sent them that proof. I waited 10 business days for the letter to get to me. Only to be told that I'm supposed to send my current bank statement not my old one like they ask few emails ago. I have sent them proof of my identity 3 times. The latest hoop I had to jump through was them saying it was because of my name on the account. I am unable to update to government name as they asked. No matter what it's another hoop or waiting for customer service to come up with a way to stall in giving my money. If you check the app store the first XXXX review warns people about the apps as well as XXXX XXXX search Albert scam and I'm not the only one. They take a rainy day fund sometimes without your full knowledge and make it impossible for you to take back your own funds.

Complaint What Happened This is the second time in XXXX days I've had trouble using my card. They set up a new card yesterday and mailed a physical card however that card isn't working either. I'm getting the same error message as before. I've tried reaching out to support once again with no response. My direct deposit goes into this account this week and I have no way to physically access money or a card to pay online. I couldn't buy food or my prescriptions on Thursday and still can't.
